I flew twice on the A343 from FRA to DXB and back. I don´t know if the A340 doesn´t carry models for sale on board but...maybe next time. In Dubai I visited two EK open stores and I didn´t find any 1:400 but only 1:100 and 1:500 models.

in dubai where did you find the EK stores?? on the airport i believe!! or was it in the city?? as for 1:400 sclae, yes i agree with you, that would be difficult to get at the EK shops. you will get 1:500, 1:250 or 1:100 only. I got my self an A380 as well with removable landing gears and stand from the EK shop atthe airport. it is a magnificient model in the 1:250 scale. the fuselage is very heavy weighing almost 1-2 kgs!! but altogether a great model..

one question out of the blues, do you have any idea how the B772 of AIR-INDIA is?? i mean the one released by Phoenix Models having the latest colors of AI?? i am thinking of buying it today...

I visited two Ek shops. One is located in the EK headquarters in Dubai downtown. This store is in the same building where EK has the medical centre. The other shop I found in a kiosk in a shopping centre ( sorry now I canīt remember the name).

As I canīt inspect my models before buying them coz I must buy them thru internet I canīt respond your question. According to the pics Iīve seen I thing this is a great release. But (off-topic) I would like to know why Air India changed its colors? I loved that old colors.

THANX FOR INFO BUDDY!!

well buddy its a result of the merger that has taken place between air-india and indian airlines... that is the reason air-india has changed its livery and has also ordered new B787s and A321s. rather AI is the innaugral customer of the B787... but its a shame that DW has come up with a fantasy verison of the AI B787 having the old livery... had it been the new one, I would have already grabbed it as it is easliy available here in india!! as for the B772 of Phoenix i will be ordering it over the internet today!!

EK also has a kiosk in the duty free area of DXB airport that sells these models but as I already have the 772 and A345 in 1/200 and the 773, 773ER, A345, A332 and 744F in 1/400, the last thing I needed was more EK models.

Kingfisher sells 1/100 models on board??? Thats surprising. I'd love to get one.

Those that I bought onboard when travelling are as follows:

1/250 KLM 744 (made by PPC which I gave away).
1/250 EVA 744 (made by FM).
1/250 China Airlines 744 (made by FM).
1/200 Royal Jordanian A310 (made by FM, which I gave away).
1/250 Air France Concorde (unknown manufacturer which I gave away).
1/200 Gulf Air A343 (made by FM).
1/250 Saudia 743 (made by the original Wooster and one of my fave 1/250's)
1/250 British Airways 742 (again made by the original Wooster).
1/200 Sri Lankan A332 (made by FM).
1/200 Sri Lankan A343 (also made by FM).

Just one: a plastic snap-together QANTAS 767 (Wooster or similar maker) back in '87.

I was very pleased to get it, as it was like nothing else I had seen at that time.
