Default The PacMin's 747-8 is a Reality

Guys

This is the first PacMin 747-8 shown at 2006 Asian Aerospace Show. Wow, what a nice piece of art, now the trick is to get one of these bad boys!

If you review the financial numbers for this series it has the potential to evaporate the market for the Airbus 380. Brilliant of Boeing to let Airbus do all the leg work to drum up business for higher capacity airliners and then boeing sweeping in with an offering something more reasonable to the industry.

I dunno about any of you others, but to me, IMHO, there isn't a commercial airliner out there that has the elegance, majesty and dynamics of the 747 design.

I don't know how much more perfect Boeing could have conceived the design, but 35 years later, the design is still contemporary and timeless.

Truly a work of art, in model, and in real life!

Default 747-8 PacMin models

I have both the 1/50 and 1/100 PacMin 747-8 models and they are really as nice as the photos show. The new wings look phenominal - and as usual PacMin rendered this striking aircraft into a perfect work of art.

Happy collecting!

Well we'll see............Have always liked the 747, especially the SP, but for me the A380 gets the vote for its looks anyday. Have just added a 1/100 Pacmin A380 in House colours to my collection, looks good alongside my 1/100A3XX in Virgin Atlantic colours which was made by AMI Phelps, its surprising how many subtle variations there are between the two.
