Hi Celtic,

I checked your webpage and I must say, it is great! For collectors of 1/72 models it is a valuable source of information.

What direction are you following? Most of the models are WW II, I missed a bit the "new age" generation.

How about the new releases of the ME 262 from Corgi and Dragon?

Thank you. I'm mostly WWII, with a few early Cold War jets. Just added Galland's Me 262. In the past, I've tried catching up by adding older issues to the Web page, but have decided this year to mix older issues with the more recent.

I don't collect Dragon anymore (unless they come out with something particularly unique) because of quality problems. At my age, having to fit, file, and glue together planes just isn't any fun. However, it's interesting reading the various Me 262 comparisons. I think this is the first time new molds from Dragon and Corgi have competed head to head.

I still have more than 100 models to photograph (counting the 1/400 models), and expect 9 more this month, so catching up just isn't going to happen!!

Glad to here from you, and happy collecting!!

I guess, this is a suitable guideline for collection, since I feel the newer jets to be somewhat boaring as well.

I can only agree to the "gear glue" stance with the Dragon models. Today I received the Dragon ME 262 and it can be seen, that a basically good model is getting worse due to this stupid interchangeable gear. I will write short topic later this weekend.

One question: Since when Corgi has left the interchangeable gear?

Happy collecting!

Only the Legends line has the gear glued down. The next two Corgi 262 releases, the Yellow 5 Schoppler and the Red 13 Heinz Bar, will have interchangeable gear and will come in boxes instead of the bubble-pack.
