Default Eidai planes

After years of searching I was finally able to get the two Die Cast models from the Japanese company Eidai, F15 and F-16.
Those models were made in the late 70's to early 80's and they are very hard to find, since only a few specimen are existing due to high sales prices during their time of commercial presence, which ended up in low production volume.
Eidai is mostly known to collectors of die cast auto models, because they had a very nice series of car models in scale 1/28 and 1/20. They also did some plastic kits.
These two are the only die cast planes they did.

The F-15 has opening air brake and spring operated shooting missiles, which identifies the models clearly as toys.
The quality is superb, the gears are very accurately made of metal, of course not retractable, due to high detail level.
The level of accuracy is one of the best ever done and nearly on the level of Aero Mini.

Thumbs up

Awesome! You found the Holy Grail of toy airplane collecting. I would love to see more photos of them and the boxes if they were included. Where did you find these gems?

Hi,

these Eidai planes are not the entire Holy Grail, but at least a fraction of it....

Unfortunately they came unboxed, even though mint and including stand.
I have never seen a box, also in Sue Richardson famous book "Diecast toy aircraft" only the models are pictured, but not the boxes.

Source was Ebay.

Maybe I post more detailled pictures later.
