as u can see, this latest version is 99%accurate... a great improvement from earlier versions, for instance, this one:

Are you talking about the colors or something else? I agree that some manufacturers are guilty of picking some quite obscure paint schemes at times in the interests of making their products look different, but I don't think Gaincorp have been too far off with the colors of their previous aircraft:

I don't completely disagree with you, but there have been TWO versions of the "43" as far as I know. I own the first version by "giodi" (AKA Gaincorp)...and the colour is a bit different from the one shown in the above picture.
I just want to point out (or insist) that the latest release ("45") is the most accurate of them all. I will not discuss the inaccuracies on the F-22 Raptor, the PLAAF Su-27, nor the Russian Naval flanker....On the other hand, I heard positive comments on their F-15's! I will never be "brand bashing"...that is not my hobby. |

Ah, I see what you mean. You're talking about the differences between these two:
I do agree with you here. The second release looks a lot closer in color to many of the photos I've seen (never had the chance to see on in real life, sadly). Interestingly though, if you dig around the web, you can find pictures that look much more like the first, although I suspect this is more a symptom of poor quality, washed out photos than anything else. Still, I applaud Gaincorp for doing these models in the first place. I love the US Aircraft, but my shelf only has room for a fixed number of planes I'd prefer them not to all be F-16s!!! |

I'm not really into military models, but what scale are these? I'm thinking it would be an interesting "transient" if I ever do an airport.

flugwart,
you are absolutely correct. I was referring to this "colour scheme correction" performed by Gaincorp. right now I am not sure if I should get the latest release or not ("45 white"), since it is "another aircraft"...made out of the same mould!!! I also would like to fill my shelves with different airframes, and different nationalities as well! continental, unless you are thinking "big" (really big) don't start collecting 1/72 warplanes, because you will have problems finding 1/72 airliners...or room to display them. I have a different "worlds" for different scales. |
