Thumbs up FYI: 1/72 Concorde kit in 2004

Those of you who build kits...Heller will apparently be releasing a 1/72 Concorde injection plastic kit in mid-2004. Merry Christmas!

This sounds like its going to be a real beauty.......It would be awesome if they did a clear plastic fuselage half with an interior a' la Lindberg 1/100 Caravelle.

PS: Cant find info on this release...Do you have pics or a URL? THX.

Default Airfix 1/72 scale Concorde

The only detail I've found so far is at...........

www.hannants.co.uk

Search for 'Concorde'...some nice bits of info there plus a 'little' info on the big Concorde model which will be highly sought after i guess.

Cheers,

Dave.

Thanks for the link Dave,

Its listed as an Airfix kit in 1:72. No release date but a price of about 30 pounds. Im looking forward to picking one up when released.
A Grumman Gulfstream III is also listed as a future release. A pleasant surprise and a nice addition to the other Minicraft Bizjets (Falcon 10, Lear 35, and Citation).

Regards,
Herb

Default 1/72 Concorde

As I organized the preservation of a 1:1 Concorde at MAN airport (BA G-BOAC) I'm sure that will sell lots of these to visitors once the new hanger for her is complete!

Cheers!

Default Concorde in 1/72 scale

Hi Don,

Yes, this project is going to be a rather special one I feel! I saw the last flights and landings at LHR 24 Oct 2003 plus the Filton event on 26th Nov from beside the runway. Now have one of my
18x12 inch prints fully framed of the touch down of G-BOAF (3/4 front port side) view with main gear on the deck and the nose wheel with a long way to go yet!!

Plenty of spray and reverse thrust in action and for me a fitting pic of the great white birds final return to earth. I can still remember how cold I was following the 'superb' downpour and hail storm around an hour before her landing..but I soon warmed when the long approach was started towards the runway and my camera had never worked so hard to capture the moment.

Take a look at this one.

Cheers for now, best regards.

Dave.
