Gavman,
You must get this one, since you like the warbirds so much. It's on a HK online shop and looks pretty good to me.

Thanks for the heads-up Yannick. I'm planning on getting at least one 1:48 scale Apache Longbow.

The 1:48 scale Model Power (MP) AH-64A is a nice model, and unfortunately, may be somewhat superior to the Air Command (AC) Apaches in terms of tampo printing on the MPs vs. mixed printing/decals on the ACs.

Pricing on the AC Apache Longbows should be more reasonable than that of the US$195 Franklin Mint museum piece.

Interestingly, the model displayed at Toymax Co. differs from the announced releases posted on the official AC website.

Stay tuned for my posting of helicopter photos when the stars are in proper alignment!

Gavman,
Yes, the only drawback on the AC is the decal. And as I was told, there's 2 versions of this Apache, and they difference is on the regiments.
No doubt the Franklin's the winner of all, if we do not compare the prices of course. Too bad not everyone can afford the FM

Thumbs up Something positive about the Air Command Apache Longbows

One advantage that the Air Command Longbows have over the Model Power Apaches is the apparently painted Hellfire missiles and chain guns on the ACs vs. the body-colored ones on the MPs. Although, the "U.S. Army" markings on the AC Hellfires are probably decals, rather than tampo printing.
