Default DW's first F-15 is a Strike Eagle--new site, too

http://www.dragonmodelsltd.com/catal...irds_f-15.html

Well, skipping the F-14 and F-15A/C prototypes they showed earlier, it looks like the F-15E is the first of the new batch, from Luke AFB (a great choice, of course there's not that many to choose from).

They also totally redid the Warbirds section, and it has a new URL:

::edit:: You know, that's a really sad weapons load-out. I'll hold out for SJ or Mountain Home if that's the final version.

For an F-15E that is a very weak load of weapons, the airplane on the other hand looks very nice.

I was hoping the F-14 would come out first but I guess i'll have to keep waiting.

Looking at other pics from other angles, it's obvious why it doesn't have many weapons:

Wrong CFT's! It has the CFT's of an F-15C/D, which can't carry bombs, etc. Actually, it looks like there's no "claws" either, so it can't even carry any at all, not even Sparrows.

They need to add 3 stub pylons and one big pylon per CFT, for it to be an E. As it is, it's an F-15D painted dark grey.

I really, really hope there's some changes made before release. (As in, give it the distinctive F-15E CFT's--even if there's no weapons on them, they should have multiple pylons and attachments)

I checked lots of pics, and though F-15E's sometimes don't have CFT's, when they do, they are only the newer style with the multiple pylons for bombs, never the "smooth" F-15C-style.

Question

Perhaps Dragon Wings needs to take its cue from the 1:48 scale Hasegawa F-15E kit?

Exactly. LOTS of weapons on the E. F-15E's can carry more bombs than a B-29! (Yup). They have massive amounts of firepower.

And as I said--even if they don't give us any weapons, they at least need to give us the right CFT's to actually make it an "E". I will not buy an F-15D painted dark grey...

(This really annoys me, as the 405th is my most-wanted F-15E--and here it is as the first release, but it's all screwed up. )
