Hi Everyone,
I know I've been banging on about the range of models I'm producing for ages now, and at times it might seem like you'll never see one for real, but I've finally finished the patterns for the last of our range, a Hawker Sea Fury in 1/72nd scale. We've also been busy sirting out boxes, artwork and lots of other boring things all of which means that within the next month you'll actually be able to order one of our models and get it! The Sea Fury is not cheap (as I'm sure some of you will have guessed) but this is a completely hand crafted model from beginning to end and not likely to emerge from any other manufacturer. Like the other models I've posted pics of it's main components are hand cast resin, whilst the other components are cast in pewter for strength and weight, the combination of metal tailplanes, interior, propeller/spinner and undercarriage making this quite a beefy model. So without further ado here is photo 1 of the machine of "Hoagy" Carmichael who famously shot down a Mig-15 in Korea. |

This photo is of the other colour option we offer, in the earlier Fleet Air Arm colour scheme.

The following pics are of what will be available as a very limited run of "deluxe" models with folded wings, open engine cowling and open canopy which will be mounted on a section of flight deck. (note these are fixed in pose not simplified working features) This will obviously be more costly than the standard version but I couldn't resist making it!

And here is a close up of that huge Bristol Centaurus engine in tiny 1/72nd size.

So there you go, I hope you all enjoy the pics even if you're not thinking of ordering one! But if you would like one the Standard model will be about £115 or so, excluding post and the deluxe one will be about £70 more. I'll keep you posted of course, but they'll be available soon, the first dozen are already 90% complete and should be available to sell before the months end. So if you'd like to order one (or two!) please get in touch soon.
Thanks for looking in! Richard. P.S. The first batch of 8 Sqdn 1/144th AEW Shackletons is completed now and available to order at £ 140. E-mail me for details, richuar@hotmail.com Last edited by Garindan; 09-07-2003 at 01:19 PM. |
