I have a few Jetran widebody planes (DC-10, 747), and wanted to know about what scale they are? I believe they are around 6" long.
Thanks. |

The models are "box-scaled", that means size/scale is related to box/blister-size.
According to Sue Richardson's famous "Diecast Toy Aircrafts" book, the scale of 747 is 1/458 and the DC-10 is 1/354. |

Ok, I had noticed the DC-9 they made is the same length as the 747.
Thanks for your help with the scales. ![]() One more question. Since the 747 is right between 1/400, and 1/500; which scale would be the best to buy to match with it? I am talking about, 757's, 737's, some smaller Airbus', etc Last edited by kbcobra289rs; 09-06-2003 at 12:50 PM. |
