Thumbs up Corgi B-52 pics

This is the latest addition to my small but growing collection, the mighty B-52D in 1/144 scale. It has a 15" wingspan and can be displayed wheels up or down.
This retails at about £80 but I got it from the Corgi Heritage Company for £45!
It is part of the Unsung Heroes range of which I also have a Huey 'Frog'.
Sorry the picture quality is a bit naff but I only had a cheap camera to hand. I'll try to get some better ones soon.

Thumbs up

Careful Gudgey, these things are addictive. I started out with this BUFF and now have three of the damn things.
Great models but they take up way too much room!
BTW, I thought your pics were pretty good, nice angles.

When I was in the Korean War Museum in Seoul last month, I had the chance to see a 1:1 example of this type. Really impressive.

There were lots of other warplanes on display, including a Mig-21 and an F-4 Phantom among others.

Can any of you guys tell me if that cockpit is translucent? I remember most Corgi's have blue windows printed on the models, but I can't tell from this picture.

Yup, it's translucent, with properly painted frames. However the "skylights" are corgi blue

transparent cockpits!
that makes it more interesting than printed windows on most of their models.
I would love to see some shots of this massive model sitting on its wheels....if possible
folks, I am affraid I have started shifting my attention from airliners to warplanes...my wallet is bleeding!

I didn't but since you asked, about 450 at the moment in various scales from 1:500 to 1:32.

Default From the outrageously large to the ridiculously small

The Corgi B-52 with the X-15 rocketplane is also a nice plane to own. I also like the Corgi AC-130 Spectre gunships, despite the printed windows. At least they are of a more manageable size.

Check out the Dragon Can.Do Pocket Army line for more fun in 1:144 scale:

They've got extremely tiny German World War II-era tanks, Stukas, and M1 Abrams tanks, either on the shelves or in the pipeline.
