I wonder if it's one of those wood carved pieces of junk. Too bad Pacmin doesn't have a classic 1950s line of models. i stay away from the mahogany models like the plague. Rarely are they ever accurate. Resin or fiberglass is the way to go. You might want to try out Atlantic models since they work in resin. i haven't purchased any of their models simply because they too aren't accurate like a Pacmin or Space Model.

Ya I just got my first Atlantic Model last month and I love it! I would only buy resin. I too have heard bad things about the wood. I'm most likely going to buy the 777-300ER from Pac Min next week. So I was just looking at all the options out there to blow my bday money.

Atlantic is a good way to go. The company creates an aircraft for YOU; it isn't a mass produced type of thing. I started out with PACMIN, and I like thier stuff, but I buy the vast majority of my models from Atlantic. Here is a pic of my Piedmont Martin 404. I got it a few months ago, and really love it.
