Question Armour's (Franklin Mint) Summer releases

Hi All ,

I was wondering if there are any "spy" or Production shots of the upcoming B-17 , Mosquito or Ju-52 from Armour (Franklin Mint) . The "box art" is out there , but no real photos as of yet.

Also any rumors on what Armour (Franklin Mint) is thinking for 2004 or any other 1/48 diecast offerings ?

Thanks

Thumbs up

I'm ready for some WW2 Japanese aircraft for christ's sake! The standard bearer's P-47, P-51, F4U (mainly USMC), Bf109, FW 190, etc., etc., etc., blah, blah, blah, are pretty non unique as far as the market goes.

Combine the Marushin concept with the Armour detail and price point and you've got a winner!

Manufacturers like FM/ Armour produce what they feel consumers will purchase. Perhaps we're dealing with the same consumer mentality in the U.S. that says it's OK to buy a Volkswagen, BMW or an Audi, but not a Nissan, Honda or a Toyota.... (Most of which are built by Americans in the US with US manufactured parts....) Never mind the Panasonic DVD player and the Sony TV sitting in their living room.......

Not anything I know , but it sure looks like Marushin and Armour/FM have some sort of agreement of non- competition int he Japanese WWII types.
Otherwise it would make NO sense that Armour/FM have no Japanese type as one of its MANY WWII offerigns.

Default Feel that Franklin Mint's trying to destroy CDC Armour's quality?

Just a thought, anyone wonder about the lowering of quality and standards of CDC Armour planes and their packaging, under the hands of FM?

Are they trying to promote their own products more while trying to destroy CDC Armour's name?

I have heard from 2 FM dealers recently that there is a high probability that FM/Armour will offer the Japanese Zero as a new casting in 2004. Other than that, all bets are off as to what they are considering (or their reasoning in these decisions) for us. ---- Mark Kolodzie
