I will definitely get this one, as the very first F-18 model I ever had (1/144 scale! But still nice for its size) was in this exact scheme. Looks like this one has Harpoons--nice, but I still want some 1,000lb bombs. (And I ALWAYS want Sidewinders on the wingtips)

those look like SLAM's to me...anyway, rockin! i dig US Navy squadrons. id really like to see DW Warbirds do some F-8 Crusaders though; there were some great paintjobs out there.

They've got that weird double-exposure thing going--hard to tell length of missiles. (Only difference between Harpoon and SLAM is length--it's actually the same thing--like Sparrow vs Sea Sparrow) But yeah, I'll go for SLAM. (Thought it looked a bit long) Darn, I like Harpoons better. (Though the SLAM is a signature weapon for the Hornet-it's a good choice, but I still want 1,000lb bombs) (Actually, I'm really fond of the Penguin, but I doubt we'll get any of those, especially on US planes)

Nice model, although the F18 isn't really my thing it's a superb model and I love the tail fin design,

Nice looking model!
What ever happened to the F-14? Was it a mileage model with warbird miles only? I have lost track of all this but would like to get an F-14 of this series for sure. As I have mentioned elsewhere the F-18 is a type that has grown on me with time. And now that it will become, with some improvements, the F-14 replacement then we better get to like it as it will be around for a long while. Wonder how the capabilities technical and otherwise of the new Super Hornet compares to the last developement of the Tomcat. It sure seems that the SH is more of a "low maintenance" type but who knows... Eduardo |

Don't worry, the F-14 isn't even announced yet--it's up there with the Fw-190 and F-15 as a "future" mold. I'm sure there'll be plenty of F-14's within 6-12 months. (There's SO many great F-14 schemes to do--I'll buy a dozen of them).

I'll pass on the Chippy Ho and get this one instead.
I wonder when they'll do the CF18?
