1) What are they made of plastic or diecast?
2) Do you have to buy anything extra to make it look good? 3) Are they simple to put together? 4) Stickers come with plane? 5) Are they realistic looking? Minicraft kits are all injection moulded styrene plastic - you assemble and paint the kit, apply water slide decals.
Typically, an airliner model takes about 15 hours to finish, plus paint/decal drying time. Minicraft's airliners range in accuracy from poor to excellent. The L.188 Electra is poor - wrong shapes for the nose and tail fin, stabs too low down on the sides of the tail. The MD-80 is outstanding - their best airliner, almost no faults. Minor problem with the fin scribing, but overall shape is excellent. All other models fall somewhere in between. All are, however, quite buildable, and make fairly accurate models. To fix the worst faults - fill the (often mis-scribed and too deep) door outlines, use decals. Decals are reasonably accurate, though for those with a magnifying glass, the artist has not yet figured out there are 50 states in the nation. We usually get a US flag with 24 or so stars... Colours are often wrong (eg Continental blue) and details often missing (eg reges on the Alitalia MD80) or wrong (eg United 777). Overall though, and for the price - most expensive at AHS are the 777's at $27 (- compare to the Doyusha 777 at $65), down to a DC-3 at $12 - the kits are good value.
