Here are some pics of the awesome LHS KLM 747-400 with 'world is just a click away' titles. m favourite klm livery. I had this model once before, but sadly had to sell it. well this one popped up on ebay at the weekend. recognised seller as bob carney aka TOPSOX on here. so sent him a message, and I got it for just £140 + £15 post!! less than I sold mine for! so I now have this model back again. only about 16-20 were made. no more according to AVM! pics were taken indoors as weather was lousy, so perhaps not the best.

They sold these for just 195 euros! from avm. + 19% tax + 25 euros post. total was around £217 gbp iirc. that is about £110 gbp LESS than what westway would charge over here for a 1/100 747! so getting this for just £155 posted is a bargain. as said only 16-20 were made. so did not expect to see another one pop up for sale. let alone u.k!! overseas shipping for these is about $90!! + customs charge!!

PH-BFG - City of Guayaquil.. What a great machine and a special one for me.. In the 90s there was a Revell kit in 1:144 of PH-BFG in this livery and i built it when i was still a kid and loved everything 747 related.. Back in 2008 when i made a couple of long-haul flights with KLM, I had an aircraft change to B744 from the scheduled MD-11 and the aircraft that came to the gate to fly me to YUL was PH-BFG - the plane i built in the old colors as a kid.. This made me even visit Guayaquil on one of my trips to Latin America after, a very nice city and to top my personal KLM story, this Ecuador trip ended in a nice blast out of the old Quito city airport onboard of a KLM MD-11..

errrr buy one! aviationmegastore has loads of similar LHS/PREMIUM MODELS 1/100 models of loads of airlines. reasonable prices too!! only 16-20 of these were made. so finding another will be tough. but they have other 747s.
you can also find these quite cheap on ebay. but most are the 'older' type TRAVEL AGENT models. so lack the detail of this model. they were only meant to be put in travel agent windows. so they wanted the cheapest option possible.
