Default 1960s working toy airports: Crude but fun!

Back in the 1960s manufacturers competed to offer miniature working airports to allow children to enjoy the new jet age.

The plane all of the toys had in common was the iconic Boeing 707.

The best known was this from German company Technofix in tin and clockwork:

Later in the 60s a rival firm, Biller offered its own version in plastic:

105 Internationaler Flughafen

In the States catalogue Christmas buyers had a choice between the

Remco Kennedy Airport

and the

Sears Toy Airport

Today with the ready availability of full computer flight simulations for kids on their PCs and tablets such toys are not produced, but they were powerful stimulants to some of us.

Dunno....I wouldn't expect more than say $220, but you never know, could sell for $60

Put it this way: listing as new with a conflicting description means if you're not happy with it, he can't stop you from returning it once you file a claim and point that out.
