Arrow Matchbox Collectibles

I was in the toy section of Wal-Mart tonight (looking for useable parts for my varsity design project) when I noticed a bunch of cool looking WW2 airplanes. For the hell of it I forked out $13 and bought a silver P51D Mustang. Although the model is not super-accurate and it's landing gear is tucked up, it has a stand and IMO is guite a good looking model for being sold in Wal-Mart (...you know what I mean...).
There was no indication of a scale on the box, but it's about the same size as a 1:400 747. (it's not one of those dumn looking airplanes with the huge wheels in a blister-pack, this one has a box with a window to view the model)
Anyways, just wanted to say that i'm impressed with my new Matchbox toy and i'll probably buy a few more. There's six in their series so check your local Wal-Mart out if you're into diversity.
Cheers

I'm very interesting about these models. I've 4 of them in my collection : F6F Hellcat, P51D, Spitfire and Hurricane. Can somebody provide me the 2 models which miss: the P38 Lightning
and the Curtiss P40. It's quite impossible to find them in Europe now. I can buy or trade with Atlas 1/100 diecast models like
F2 Buffalo, F8 Crusader, NA F100 or SMB2 for exemple. Ask for my trade list.
Thank you for your answer.

These planez are nice for the price (half that of what they used to be!) but I wish they had issued subject matter that was a little less overdone! Well at least they didn't make another Tomcat or F-16 ...

Just for info purpose. The matchbox diecast models are all 1/72 scale. nicely done, landing gear is up. For the price these are exellent display models. I have the set and they look great on a shelf. I also have the X-plane set.
They come in 6 differnt models, not bad for the price. If anybody needs more info, feel free to contact me, always glad to help.
