Lightbulb CDC + Marushin P51

Just noticed something interesting, looking in the colour brochure supplied with the Marushin models, their P51 model has the landing gear in the in-flight position, ie. with the shock absorbers extended. This is the same mistake as the CDC Armour P51, makes me wonder, if it just co-incidence

Why do they keep doing this? You would think someone would have clued in by now.
If they can't see fit to fix the gear, then they should give us full flaps and a stand to compensate.
This sounds like corporate espionage to me.

I must admit, it's kind of suspicious that both companies made the same stupid mistake, especially when both companies have demonstrated that they can produce some of the finest diecast aircraft models ever made...... I really find this a turn off, I've seen a few CDC P51's I'd love, especially the Korean war USAF F51, but I keep getting drawn to the landing gear.

I agree, I finally bought the "Hoover" P51 from Armour but I have it facing the wall so I can't see the gear and prop to ground clearance. If it wasn't for this glaring error, I'd have a lot more, a shame really as some of the releases were great.

Hi

I never noticed this detail , despite the fact my 2 P51 Marushin and one of my P51 Armour are on the same display .

I don't think its coincidence...
I still got a couple of the CDC P-51's in my collection.

What are you guys doing about the expeected CDC reoleases this year.
Pre-ordering or waiting to see if they actually get made?
Inquiring minds want to know...

I'm watching Wings & Wheels closely for a "in stock" indication, then I'll pounce.
