Default Italeri Pearl Harbour set

I amproud to welcome in my collection my first " commemorative Italeri set" .

I found it on last Saturday .
Composed of one P40 green , with gun smokes traces on the extrados , and one Mitsubishi A6M2 "zero".
Frame and wings are die cast . Canopies and propellers are plastic.
Delivered in a flat box with a plastic screen.
With two stands.

Reference 41500

Seems to be only for the European market, because of CE marks and European multi languages translation at the rear side of the box.

On saturday afternoon, two sets were still available on stock.

For French collectors , the cast is the same than " Avions de Combat Atlas 1/100e "

That 's all for the moment

WOW, now Italeri are getting into diecasts too?!!

Can you tell us the scale of these, and how they compare to other makes in terms of realism and finish please?

I think I'll ask my model shop if he's heard of these, as the P40 and A6M are two of my all time favourite aircraft, thanks for the news!

You are answering too fast.
Dont forget I am only a poor frog, with many difficulties to translate French into English.

Scale is 1/100e

If I compare quality with Armour 1/100, cast is less detailled ( for example the flaps on the wings ), but acceptable for a scale model. The exhaust pipes are very impressive
They are not toys at all .
I cant have any comment on undercarriage ' coz I dont want to open and to destroy the box.
Paint and decals are fine .

A6M2 is white except a black engine cover , Japaneese roudelsand a red stripe near the tail .Though the box and the canopies , I can seat the green pilot seat .

I wish I could talk ANY foreign language as well as your English!!! My school boy French is terrible, embarrassing really, and my verbal Japanese is even worse I'm always reminded of that old joke;
Q) If somebody who speaks three languages is tri-lingual, and somebody who speaks two languages is bi-lingual, what is somebody who speaks one language?

A)English!!!! (or Scottish, American, Australian, New Zealander.... )

Thanks for the info, they sound like nice models. I think I will not buy them though as in the last couple of weeks I've been making some tough decisions about my collection and have decided to stop all my impulse buying of any model I like, and to concentrate on a logical collection, as I ran out of space long ago So I will continue with 1/48 and 1/72 warbirds, 1/144 airliners and big military aircraft and only 1/400 airliners in selected airline liveries, even this is still a bit much really, but I can't bring myself to give up these scales.....

Hi Bruno !
I've open the box, I can't wait like you !
The models are the same as Atlas 1/100 collection but with a
better finishing : painting, decals, exhaust pipes.
They have no landing gear and need to be on stand.

Default Italeri Models

Hi,

I have 3 models made by Italeri an F-4, Tornado, and F-14.
They seem to be 1:100 scale but I can't be sure they each
come with a small magazine with pictures and with beautiful
artist renderings. I can't read it as they are in either Italian
or some other latin language. The models themselves are
without a doubt little jewels. In my opinion they are comparable
to Armour and cost much less. I got these from someone who is not a collector. He saw them overseas an purchased them for his
child, who could care less, so he sold them to me for $15.00 ea.
He said that's what he payed for them in US dollers. I 've been
trying to get in touch with him but he 's moved away and I don't
Know were. I guess I can send a letter to Italeri. Does anyone
have their email address?

Thanx

Never see Italeri F4 and F14, but I am sure it s possible . They are using " Atlas Avions de chasse" casting and F4 and F14 have been produced a long time ago.

I think you will be able to see , in the futur, other models.
