1/100 lhs klm 747-400 'the world is just a click away'

well, finally gotb round to picking up this model fro aviationmegastore! it's a 1/100 LHS klm 747-400 in old colours with 'the world is just a click away' titles. my favourite klm livery. excellent model imo, and some great details. makes it my fifth 1/100 klm model!!

will be also posting pics of my 1/100 exec. models klm 773er shortly.

I'm guessing 1/200 scale started not satisfy your collection needs uh robert! 1/100 models are huge!!! thanks for sharing!

still sticking to mostly 1/200 payton. but these came up for a reasonable price. because they are huge, will not be buying loads as i do not have the space!! but if any come up in my criteria and cheap enough, i will grab them!

no, not on sale, just normal price. they have sold out 3 times this year already, just getting 4 in at a time. they have 2 left @ 193 euros.

Very nice Robert. I like the LHS models very much, the finish and detailing on them is very good. I do have their 1/100 IL76 in Uzbekistan livery, and I have an LHS Etihad A380 coming at a later date from a fellow DAC member.

me i prefer the older colours too! hoping jc does a 1/200 version of this to go with 767 version just released. will be picking up both klm 767's from ARD on 22nd!!

well moin, its actually tirned out better than the pics on avm's website. hope to get the md 11 when its back in stock, and maybe current version 747. but that;s 33 euros more!!

Do they usually restock models that are in red i.e. currently unavailable? If these are being sold under their own brand that ought to be possible.

well, they have been out of stock 3 times on this one. and managed to get more. but i guess its pot luck. just click on the notification link, and they will e-mail you when its back in stock.

I'm impressed with the detail level of this model, given its price point.

Will you be buying the 1:100 A330 with spinning fan blades and landing gear? I'd like to own it, but the shipping cost is $75 to the U.S., so that kills it for me.

Does anyone know if LHS Models have their own website available? Are they only sold through aviationmegastore? Do they do any other liveries aside from what's listed on aviationmegastore? I would love to get my hands on a 1/100 United 747-400 in a tulip blue.

No, LHS does not have their own website as they are models which are made by Aviation Megastore. The initals LHS stand for "Luchtvaart Hobby Shop" which was the original name of the Aviation Megastore before it was changed.

Lovely model Robert, as this is certainly a classic livery. I did ask Marcel@AV to make me a 1/100 767-300. True to his word, he started to but the factory had took over 6 months to try to get the time to make me one and thus they cancelled my order due to the over commitment to other models.

I have been desperate to get a KLM 767-300 with the NW logo for ages...

all you can do is sign up for newsletter, and keep checking back. one may be done in future. or you can e-mail them and ask!!

Doug can make it for me but at the moment I have 5 models which should be ready for me in the next two weeks. Then I have another five which I will be ordering at the end of the month so I may include the KLM 767.

The company has been in business for over 30 years and offer over thousands of different types of models.

They can create any model, in any scale, in any livery that you could ask for. They're a smaller company and I deal directly with the operations manager and president of the company. Their prices are not that bad and would be happy to help get you a price quote if you like.

Oh sorry mate. I just noticed last night, that one of the KLM MD11s had been sold on the Aviation Models site.....thought it might have been you. Off to ARD tomorrow, really looking forward to it, I think my wallet may take a battering too

hi robert. thanks for info. i see you have an american md 11 on @$239.99. but shipping and import charges will add another $125 minimum!! tbh having seen the detail on the 747, i will wait for avm to get the LHS version back in. plus it will be at least $40-50 cheaper, as no customs charges.

neil, no it wasn't me. but i think i prefer the LHS one now over pacmin. much more detail.

btw, there is only ONE of these 744s left. another one has sold. anybody from here bought it????

I lost the last two opportunities, this could not lose. My experience with models LHS is very positive (PanAm 747 200-kenya Airways 777.200 Egyptair-777.200-Angola Airlines 777.200 and others) levels of detail are very good. However this KLM 747 "the world is just a click away" will land in Madeira Island later because I opted for the system "hold Store Service"; "in my case the shipping costs are really very expensive, so this option minimizes costs.

Hey Robert. Yeah its a custom by Sydney Aviation Shop. She will be in 1/100 with gear. I just need to find a rego from the current colors thats special or the oldest. I have to decide.

i remember seeing something similar in melbourne about 6 months ago. there was a qantas 1/100 747-400 for somthin like $500AUD. looks like the same manufacturer.

Yes, they are Graphideco models (Air Force 1 and Lufthansa 50 years Innovation Partnership Boeing and Lufthansa). The small PanAm is a DC7 .

No worries Antonio. I also have that model, and it's one of my all time favourites. Is the Egyptair 737 in your cabinet, one of the Skymarks Supreme ones? Thanks for taking the trouble to post the pics. BTW, love that Pan Am too
