Default Added Airwolf to the collection

I have always wanted to get one of these and recently found one for a great price on eBay. So made the leap to add one to my collection. Normally I collect 1:72 but a 1:48 of the Airwolf is just fine given it is a great diecast piece. They come in three different paint schemes, this one is the rarer one to get with the cobalt blue livery. They make a dark grey/black one as well a weathered version.

The options are nice, comes with a battery operated switch for rotating blades, gear up and down options weapons out and weapons along with pilots.

An unusual model. I used to like the TV show. Is your model the colour used on the star of the show?

The Cobalt blue is suppose to be the color used on the show but I have heard many Airwolf fans say the color is off and it should be a slate grey. The flash of the camera makes it look lighter in color, it is a pretty deep dark blue. Staff from the show have said the cobalt color is correct.

I really love the helicopter model and am now thinking about finding a diecast Blue thunder but they only make them in a 1:32 scale so they would not match up side by side for sizing. The Airwolf model is the rarer of the models out and they go quite high on eBay, but occasionally you can get one at a bargain price as I did. The detailing is very good, I rank it right up there with Century Wings attention to die cast detailing and the quality of production is tops as it is made by Aoshima.

I have this model as well.
It has working rotors as well for display - does yours have that?
I have this version as well and the details are great.

I too was thinking about getting a Blue Thunder but could only source a kit of this chopper. I might wait a while.
