Default Bombers And Giant Of The Sky

Known in France as " bombardiers et geants du ciel " these range is not available in retailer's but only through a magazine and news paper distributor .

Today models are as following

AVRO LANCASTER
B17 FORTERESSE VOLANTE
B26 MARAUDER
B29 SUPER FORTRESS
B24 D LIBERATOR
FOCKE WULF FW200 CONDOR
JUNKERS JU88A-4
VICKERS WELLINGTON
and
HEINKEL He111H .

All are fully detailled , with guns , antennas , translucid canopies and screens , removal under carriage and a small plastic stand . Propellers cannot rotate .
Scale is or near 1/144 . box is composed of expended polystyrene and sliding plastic sheet as cover .
At first sight , the models seem to be Corgi but, there is nothing print or engraved in the cast . Just , on the box, " Made in China " .

Who knows something else about ??
What will be the next models ??

PS ; I think those models are still available to purchase . If somebody may be interested by them , please let me know by return .

I've never heard of this range but it sounds VERY interesting!! The Fw200, B24, B26, Ju88, He111 and Wellington are all conspicuous holes in the Corgi range, and a C46 would be great! Do they have a web site or anything? Thanks,

To Phil,
Sure, they are accurate and maybe more detailed than the Corgi.Just think about the glasses wich are made in transparent plastic. This is much more better than blue or silver paint !!!
Only the box is a little bit basic.

To Justin
I do not find any web site (unfortunatly) and there is nothing engraved on the aircraft to know who make them. The only information is " made in china "

To Ozz and Egon
At your disposal

To Antony
Let me check about the cost of postal freight or UPS/DHL and so on before my answer

Thanks for the answers, this certainly does sound an interesting range, sad they are not more widely distributed I'll keep a look out for them, thanks for telling us about them,

Unfortunatly, no pictures for the moment.

I will try to find somebody with a digital camera . Maybe Phil Garreau owns one . Phil, if you read this message , let me know !

I hope to be able , in a couple of days, to give here a complete list of available items.

Hey I could use a Canberra too. Unusual subject matter. The only other one of these in diecast is the crummy crude Midgetoy version and mine is scratched.

Hi

As far as my supplier told me this morning, all the models are still available and can be dispatch from his warehouse to me, in one week.
The cost is 39 Euro per unit ( Ex Works ) without cost of packing and freight ; and those two least points depend of quantities.

Instead of swift payment and so on, it will be maybe better to barter between us.
In USA, UK, Canada or where ever you want, you can sometimes have unknown models in France !!
I am also looking for antiques.
Send me some list ; I 'll make my choice.

Do somebody need more details before we find a ******** camera ??

A B57 Canberra, WOW!!!! What a great choice, are you interested in any other scales? Sorry I don't have any trades in 1/72, 1/48 or 1/144, but have some trades in 1/400 scale. Take care,

Hello Justin

What a quick answer !!

Unfortunatly, I am mainly looking for large scales ( from1/48 to 1/144 and at least 1/250 ) and also for military models, or training.
But , maybe you can provide Matchbox collectibles. You told me before , it was hard , but you never said impossible !!

You know , it is much more easy for you to hunt in UK , or in USa, because english language is your native language. Not for me as you can guess !!!!!
So , it could be a solution.

Hi Bruno,
I have also received my B57 Camberra some days ago. It's another good model of this interesting Atlas 1/144 serie
"Bombardiers et géants du ciel". I don't know what will be the next models, it's every time a surprise. I hope it will be the
Transal C160 or the CANT Z1008 announced in their list.

Pour conclure, j'ai commandé à Laurent le F104 ARMOR en
déco NASA.
A bientot .Schuss !

Yes, Atlas is a french editor who sells many collection series like
diecast cars, teddy bears, trains and what is interesting for us diecast planes.
For the beginning, they have launch a first serie with 1/100
diecast planes. They look like Armor's models, with black plastic stand and no undercarriage. This serie contains many exclusive
models like : P39 Airacobra, Dewoitine 520, Morane 406,Brewster
Buffalo, F8 Crusader, Super Etendard and many more. 60 models
at the moment .
The 1/144 serie has begun three month ago about and I have
now a good collection of original models : B17, Wellington, B24,
Fw200 Condor, C46 commando, Heinkel 111, B26 Marauder, B57
Camberra ,Lancaster and B29 Enola Gay. These models are not selling in shop but only by suscription and they are coming every
2 weeks. These models have stand and undercarriage. They look
good, not so good of the Corgi's but nearly.
I'll try sending some pictures on the net soon.
Philippe.

I can only say that the Short Stirling is perhaps the best of the serie for the time.

Phil

The Maryland is the smallest of the issued range but one of my favorite.

Not because of the Free French AF but because it's the first time I met this kind of aircraft.

I am now very impatient to receive the Cant !!!
