Default When your wife says you have too many models...

..... If my wife ever says I have too many models (I know she's probably thinking it), I'll show her this:
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=3479494

..... I'll bet most of us, especially those of us 30+, started with a plastic kit. In my youth and since I've put together some great model airplanes. Some of my favorites:
Airfix Lockheed Hudson (in fact I have an unassembled one on the shelf)
Airfix Grumman Gosling
Aurora(?) United 727
Airfix Short Sterling
numerous DC-3/C-47s
Revell or Aurora TWA L-1049G (cat caused a fatal crash landing from my bureau)
Airfix Fairey Swordfish (an uncle flew them in WW2)
Revell B-17

..... I put together very few jets. A plane just had to have a freakin' propeller! I had until recently quite a few kits I knew I would never get around to put together or have room for. I hated to part with an Airfix Boeing 314, but it did fetch more than $50 on eBay (and I thought I'd be lucky to get $9).
Dave (and now they complain about plastic parts on Dragon Wings)

Wow, that is absolutely unbelievable! (shocked speechless).

If a woman is complaining that her guy has too much of something ... the guy should comment on stuff she has too much of - eg. shoes, jewellery, perfume, clothing ... all the crap that I have ZERO interest in!

Yeah, and then he blows up duplicates using firecrackers!

Sheesh! If I need a loan, perhaps I should give this guy a call as he seems to have so much extra money to "burn" (no pun intended).

He spent about $250,000 on models? If we did that with our hobby, with planes about $25 a piece, then that would be 10,000 models! Holy !!!

If your wife asks you about your collection, just tell her you have "Imelda Marcos Syndrome." She'll understand.
