I really like Herman's Hermits. But then, they are British.

Yeah, the British songs get very boring very fast. Heaven knows we had enough when the British Invasion went underway!

I like The Beatles, but only their early stuff. I didn't like their later music.

Nothing perfect - they seem to have cut off the very beginning, but the film is amusing!

I had a feeling you'd be reviving this thread again soon, Bill-ay.
![]() That's one of my favourite Hollies songs, along with these two: YouTube - Hollies_Stop Stop Stop YouTube - The Hollies - On A Carousel I love music from the 50s-70s. Unlike today's music, you can actually understand the lyrics.

Oh Billay Billay Billay, you have no idea how ironic you are being there!! ![]() ![]() Having said that, I have not listened to everything you posted, after the first few I lost the will to live!! ![]() To be fair, the way my ears are, I find it very difficult to pick out lyrics if there is background noise, so I tend to err towards tunes than words, and, if it is on that basis you are posting, then, yes, some of the tunes you have given us have had some decent tunes, I'll admit. I just Hate schmaltz and love songs and .... oh God! pass the sick bucket quick!! Given my orchestral background, I'm just as likely to have the likes of Berlioz, Sibellius, Stravinsky or Wagner on my computer playlist anyway. None of this plinky plonky flowery crap mind, but not depressing either, I like my tunes to be interesting and/or dark, brooding or menacing. Have a bit of oomph about them, the kind of stuff that can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, you know!
