Cool bike! I've been mountain biking a few times in Colorado... TONS of fun. I played baseball through high school, and am into weightlifting.

ROWING!! ROWING!! ROWING!!
I'm a single sculler. There's not a more utterly worthwhile and satisfying way to pass the time than just simply messing about in boats ![]() Also Curling, I play for my local team (not very difficult, granted). Then also, running, walking, cycling, sailing, rock climbing ..... ..... in short, just about anything except for football, golf and tennis! Above all, I just cannot STAND bloody W*mbledon!! ![]() I lock myself away or better still, go somewhere very very far away for the duration of the wretched thing. ![]() It wouldn't be so bad, but we have to endure the complete absurdity that is Britain going tennis mad for all of about 2 weeks of every year, and then, that's it again 'till next year, and if you aren't part of it, then you are seen as some sort of freak or grouch for not joining in on the party!! 'C'mon Henman! c'mon Murray!!' Nnnnnngggg!! ![]() A bit like the World Cup or the Olympics, but at least they have the decency not to be every single ****ing year. And actually happen to be interesting Last edited by Roarer; 04-29-2008 at 11:00 PM. |

Probably the best throttle jockey to win the grueling Tour de France was Pee-Wee Herman in 1985. It was pedal to the metal and Mr. T cereal that one him that dream; no drugs. ![]() ![]() |

Hold yer horses, I'm currently downloading my pictures from some regattas, although I've got to go to the hospital for a check up ina few mins and then I'll be at the rowing club again tonight, slaving over a hot Ergo.
I have no pictures of myself though (thankfully!). Here's the tiny lot I have up so far, although I'm about to add the other clubs too: Picasa Web Albums - Doug - New Album 09/... Last edited by Roarer; 04-30-2008 at 09:14 AM. |

Hockey
Yeah, I am a avid fan, wanted to play when I was a kid but not that many opportunities and not every high school had it, nor we had any junior league or others like in Ontario and Quebec. I have been watching it for several years and have tons of sports cards. I still get them today! ![]() Baseball Living in Chicago, and a southsider, I am a White Sox fan and have been for a long time. Even when they won the World Series in 2005. I still go to their games and since AI2008 is in Dallas and the White Sox are playing the Rangers that weekend, I may attend one of the games there. Football/Soccer The Bears? Not a big fan. Arena Football which is more tougher and a small field which makes it more fun, I am a fan of. Soccer, the Chicago Fire are doing very good and I hope to see one of their games and them win a cup. Other sports, weightlifting, cycling, and the strongman competition I like watching them try to throw those kegs over a bar and other things they have them do. Let's see them pull a 777 like a horse for a few hundred feet. |

C-Rex ... I currently go for daily nature walks/hikes and occasional mini golf (sometimes outdoors, sometimes indoor glow in the dark).
![]() Have never tried "real" golf before. Also, go 5 pin bowling occasionally and ache for days afterwards in places I didn't know existed on the human body! The joy of being in the 40's. ![]() Back in the "old days" (childhood and teenage years) ... played softball, basketball, volleyball ... other stuff: jogging, ice skating, rollerskating, tennis, badminton, croquet, horseback riding, swimming, biking, etc. Tried cross country skiing and snowshoeing once each. Watching on tv - hockey and baseball. Jo ![]() Last edited by yyzjo777; 04-30-2008 at 10:19 PM. |

The worst thing that ever happened to me was a pretty busted up elbow, got bent the other way, I hit a tree on the way down, that was like 6 years ago though.
Gonna respect you for the cross country skiing though, that's really awesome. A very enduring sport. But I haven't heard about Snowshoeing though, what's that, maybe it exist in other languages but haven't heard the word before. |

![]() ![]() Seriously, yes, I had to stop rowing and curling for a while as I injured my hand and fingers in an accident and couldn't bend them to grip the things properly. Would have been sore with all that pressure anyway. Then, after that, one thing after another happened (I'm quite accident prone anyway) and before I knew it, I hadn't rowed in almost 5 months Quite frustrating, let me tell you! ![]() These things happen, you've just got to get back up, dust yourself down and keep going.
