Yep, I've read all about the storms in NoCal. Thankfully my friends there have been spared any major damage and outages.

Oh we get them all the time here where I am, at least once a day for an hour at least. Its called 'loadshedding'. I'm sure freak can attest to that. Its bearable at this time of the year as its pretty cold right now, but the summers can be killing.

Moin, yes I can attest to the power failures or loadshedding, when I experienced it on my last trip. The weather did help and considering it was for just an hour or less most of the time, I didn't really mind.

Makes me almost feel good about having left California....forget the earthquakes, now its fires and floods! Oh, and hurricane winds, can't leave that out. Feeling very bad about y'all. Think I'll have a beer later...or two.

Wants an Aeroflot model!

Oooo, that sucks. When Isabel hit 3 years ago, we lost power for 2 days, and that really sucked.

We had some freak storms roll through here in June of 2004, ripped everything up and left us without power for 5 days. Summer in Louisiana is not someplace to be without air conditioning...pretty horrible.

I have a diesel powered electric generator with enough fuel for 60 days. I have enough food and water supplies (including vodka) for 60 days. When supplies run low, I have 2 9mm Glocks, a shotgun and lots of ammo to force a resupply. All of this is in a harden bunker deep below my home.
How about all of you, are you prepared for a disaster?

how much to honda generators cost anyways? I wonder how long could it keep a fridge going. i think that would be a worthy investment.

![]() gospodin. I would suggest the harden bunker under your house over the pop-up trailer. The trailer will not be good protection from nukes. ![]()
