Talking surreal!

I just applied to two airlines, it's kind of unreal. Just about this time last year I was still working on my private pilot license and doing my solo cross country. Applying to another four in the next two days. Just to get an interview would be great. Come on Santa!

..... Good luck!
..... Closest I came was a job offer from Trans States Airlines (AKA American Eagle) as a ramp rat. Trouble was I couldn't take it as I'd have to give up my other far better-paying part-time job.
..... My aunt was a stewardess & purser for Pan American late 40's to early 60's. All that fabulous travel and she met many famous people. That was in the days when flying on airlines was special... from Boeing 377s to 707s. Not like now. She was "retired" mainly because she got too "old"... that wouldn't/couldn't happen now!
..... Again, good luck guy!
Dave

My dad and collegues were forced out of there ramp jobs by flybe buying british airways regional, the company offered the team another job within the company and were allowed a year to try it out , my dads collegue became a long haul steward , his first flight was from LHR - LAX he was probably better paid doing this has shortly afterwards he gave the job up .
not all fun in the sun

Good luck on the applications! Just in case you would like some interview pointers, visit Airline Pilot Central and you'll have a wealth of preparation at your fingertips! See you in the pattern!
