I was more sorry to see Merv Griffin had passed away. Don't know much about Pavarotti.

CNN Headline News has an excellent Eulogy to him which might help explain his fame. He was truly the greatest tenor of all time.

Well, I would rather say "one of the greatest" since there are still a few more that could stand beside him. Anyway... I was very amazed because hi could also sing the higher tones with such ease... And definitely hi is one of the singers who made the beautiful world of opera known to the crowds. And I'm very thankful for that...
