I see. You must be thinking "what a god forsaken place is this?!" It's not. One needs let's say 5hours most by car to cross the whole Slovenia from one end to another. And I need 45min by car to reach Slovenian capital city (Ljubljana). So...everything is very close in our country. Now...what do I do for fun? I watch Monty Python of course! Ok, I believe nothing special. I like drinking coffee with my friends and going to the airport to refill my batteries or to get in a good mood when I can't bear myself anymore... There's just nothing special to tell...

No, I didn't think you live in a nowhere place...I'd love to live in the mountains. My home is in Louisiana, there are no mountains and no ocean for hundreds of kilometres. I miss these, since I grew up in San Diego. You have a beautiful country, Lenka, although I've never been there I've seen pictures. I visited Austria and the Italian Alps, but that's the closest I've been, since when I was in that area, Jugoslavia was still Communist, and I was in communications security for the Air Force. No going to Communist countries for me at that time.

Thanks for the links! Have you tried gliding? Or do you plan to try it one day? No, I have not heard of Pipistrel but after checking out the website, the Taurus looks pretty sleek! Any idea how much the Taurus, Sinus or Virus cost in Slovenia?

You're welcome! No, I never tried gliding...yet! I didn't really think about that but definitely it would be a pleasure to do it one day!

Yes, Taurus sure is a beauty! I don't know how much these birds cost here but I can probably find out if you want me to.

No, no, I really don't want to kill you!
So, tell me, who's your favourite? Mine is probably Mr. Eric Idle. And I just adore Sir John Cleese in the sketch about Picasso (when he's painting while driving a bicycle).
And another thing...do you live near Louviers by any chance?

That's probably much closer than most people here will ever be.

A witch? Well, it would not be so bad if I was one.
However...your location is "midway between Omaha Beach and Paris" as you say. And Louviers is there between too, so I just thought it might be near you. Is it?

Of course it is, as other bigger cities too. Tell me, you didn't took a map and sorted out this one just like that ? Have you ever been around ? It does seem very strange to me, as Louviers IS where I live, and not such a famous town (excepted for a well known french traditional song).
Not a witch ? Maybe practicing voodoo then ?

Monty Python was wonderful! John Cleese and the late Graham Chapman were always my favorites, but all of them were hilarious. The Pet Shop Parrot sketch never fails to get me laughing. My brain hurts!

Now I skate in Maple Leaf Gardens only in my memories, but what damned fine memories they were!
..... Took this "Herringchoker" from Nova Scotia a long time to even learn to spell Mississauga. I should have found a place in York.
Dave (and all the great airliners of the 70s I could have got in my spare time back then!!!!)
Dave ... I definitely know how to spell Mississauga since I was living there for 20 years and am STILL homesick even after 3 years away (2 in St. Catharines and 1 in Niagara Falls)! (sigh).

A little background for ya ... I was born in Toronto and spent the first 8 years of my life in Mimico and New Toronto. Then went to Etobicoke from 8-18 years of age then to Mississauga from 18-38 years of age! then to St. Catharines from 38-40 years of age and then to Niagara Falls from 40-41 years "young".

Holy Cripes, I've been a Leafs fan since I was a baby and used to attend their games at Maple Leaf Gardens all the time when I was a kid! One almost has to take out a loan to go watch them play now at the ACC (Air Canada Centre). Cheaper to watch them on Leafs TV!

btw - if anyone is interested, Toronto is pronouned "Tronna" or "Tronno", NOT Tor-on-toe! This is the #1 way to tell a native Torontonian from a tourist/visitor! (hee hee!).

I'm not sure who's more shocked.
Voodoo? Yes, I did that a long time ago (like 17 years ago to be precise) but not anymore. I got scared since I was almost discovered...

OK, no more jokes now. I should explain this (I hope I didn't scare you too much though!)... I'll be finishing my study very soon, so I'm writing a diploma-work (degree-work?) at the moment. The theme I've chosen is an analysis of a beautiful Requiem, written by a French composer Maurice Duruflé who was born in Louviers in 1902. Of course I have to know many things about his life and work so... I never saw France but I would very like to see at least those places where he lived and/or worked (Louviers, Rouen, Paris)... so, I guess I might come to see you someday.
