Last fall I had to pay $300 to have a mole hunter get rid of ours. The trapper was really religious so we called him, "Holy Moley."

Anybody out there collect Armour 1/48th scale models - particularly F-86 types &/or F-4 Phantom variants?

I'm looking in particular for the 2003, Stock # B11B584, Australian Black Panther, CA-27/Mk32 Sabre. I finally got a hold of a German Luftwaffe Canadair CL-13B/Mk6 Sabre - darn hard to find, I'll tell you! Found it on eBay for a pretty penny! But these "Black Panther" Sabres are literally non-existent! I've never even seen a photo of one, let alone the actual model. I'm thinking maybe these were never actually put into production. Can anybody shed some light on this - as to whether they were actually produced, and if so, what numbers, etc. Thanks - John

Professional mole killers are WAY overrated. I got 2 traps from home depot for $15 total. Took about 4-5 days to get each mole but now I know how these buggers operate.

Back in California I just took the neighbors cat and stuck him in the yard and he took care of the gophers. Left a bloody mess but no more gophers.

My cat is now 10 yrs old and no longer hunts critters but he is real good at sleeping on the freshly laundered clothes just out of the dryer.

I've got a small brown rat in my garden. Kids love it and have named it "Rommel". I've set a trap, but so far it's taken the bait twice (chocolate) and the trap has failed to go off. It's a fine balance getting it right and not breaking my fingers. I'll have the bugger though!

try a small amount of bread and peanut butter, that work for me. The size should be a little bigger than a pea.

A big spring on a block of wood held in place with a piece of metal through a hole in a hinged plate. Place bait on hinged plate, which when the rat steps on releases the spring............ka-ching!! One dead rat, or that's the theory. So far "Rommel" has survived 3 nights feasting on Mars bar chocolate. Must have been a cat in a former life and still had a few of his 9 lives left!

Shot gun and lots of patients. The Elmer Fud approach. My neighbor shot one just yesterday. Of course this will not work in a city.
There is a case in the courts in the Seattle area against a mole trapper. It is illegal to use body grasping traps in the state of Washington. They can be sold but not used. Go figure.

try this Take two moles, skin and guts removed and boil together. Take the liver and cut it small, and grind it to a fine powder; take grated bread and add, and mix with the broth, and mix it with egg yolks; and add powder fort. Boil it and add ginger, sugar, saffron and salt, and make sure it's thick; and garnish with ginger.
Also cuts down on your shopping list, enjoy |

Sorry, but I equate eating a mole with eating rats. Now this is great for an end-of-the-world scenario, where eating moles, rats, gophers etc. will be after we all finish off our pets.![]()

True, but they are going to change the law to address animals that are considered a nuisance (and invasive) such as moles and racoons. The law is very loosely enforced so why they are picking on one outfit I dont know.

After this I considered starting a thread tilted "look what I just pulled out of my nose", but figured it would be just as gross as the dead mole!

As long as the new thread doesn´t read "Look what I just pulled out of my as$", featuring a picture of a dead (albeit smelly) mole...
