Question NBA PLAYOFFS - what r fans chanting at U.S. Airways Center?

hey guys! I have been watching numerous Laker games, but what are fans chanting in Phoenix U.S. Airways Center? (i loved how America West Arena sounded before...)

Am I hearing, "KOBE SUCKS"? Am I hearing right? if so, that's hilarious!

Lakers should've stayed home. Such an embarrassment.

Although they are different buildings, but I love the name Great Western Forum rather than Staples Center.

But you are right, Lakers should've stayed home! Go Suns!

I agree with both of you GO SUNS. How the Chicago Bulls shut down the former champs, Miami Heat?

haha, DWYANE WADE 7 VS. BULLS 5 (in turnovers)

Apparently Bulls shot 38% and STILL won the game!!!

Ben Wallace went unconscious thinking he was STEVE NASH at the free throw line going 7 for 8!!!

HOW ABOUT THEM GOLDEN STATES WARRIORS??? I don't really like DALLAS MAVERICKS anyway. Happy to see Warriors do so well after not appearing playoffs for some years now.

BTW, I am LA FAN. DODGERS, ANGELS, CLIPPERS, errrrr LAKERS... But Suns play awesome team game, whereas LAKERS, it's like watching CLIPPERS 5 years ago when players were out to get new contracts or get traded or signed by NEW TEAM. (buffing up their OWN stats)

i SERIOUSLY doubt laker players' basketball knowledge / IQ. Toward the end of third quarter, they sort of 'stormed back' to cut the deficit into single deficit (Lamar and others going to the basket rather than settling for jumpers outside like other TRIGGER HAPPY, 'ahem,' KOBE). They must've forgotten what was 'successful' as KB hoisted numerous shots early in the shot clock and never really ran the 'plays.'

'Me against the World' Kobe, nevertheless, alienates his teammates. He must've not taken any physics or trigonometry course in school. Passing and swing the ball will always gonna be faster and effective, period. A TRUE LEADER WILL always find a way to involve teammates and find open mate for easier shot!!!; Suns pass the ball and it's more fun to play and watch! Did I also mention that it is also effective?

I really think laker players are all quite talented. They just had a few selfish people... KB number one. Blinded by flashes and spotlights of scoring 50+ points in consecutive games, he took the game upon himself and sometimes blamed teammates for misfortune.

I remember many games that bench players pulled through and got the victory. It was on December 20, when Phil Jackson benched all starters (Lamar was injured though) to begin the 4th quarter trailing by 10 points to the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Laker reserves stormed back to beat the Wolves by 17 points. I knew then that these 'reserves' were something special.

One thing that TICKS ME OFF THE MOST; Laker players complain at the refs and never get back on DEFENSE!!! it's always like 4 on 5 because a player is always complaining at the other end; most notably, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom. basketball IQ is seriously questioned here... Thanks for leaving teammates vulnerable. They must've gotten it from the Hollywood stars or rich celebs in L.A. They always want to be pampered by refs etc it seems...

Luke - I think he's smart and has basketball knowledge and IQ, but somehow the body doesn't seem to support what he wants to do. I hope he will remember to post up Leandro Barbosa more often next season... u gotta make layups...

Lamar - why are you shooting threes? when everyone knows that you are more effective off the dribble to the basket or inside? I will rather have Farmer or Shammond shoot threes...

Kwame's gotta go - I still vividly remember him getting blocked by Marko Jaric against Minnesota... Kwame's got definite height advantage too! yikes!

Vujacic - sure, he may hit all those outside jumpers in practice; if he can't reproduce similar results in actual game situations, then what's the use?

Smush P - I think Farmer is better PG, better player.

Mo Evans - He's talented i think and athletic. He blames teammates too much though after opponent scores and he sometimes become a bit selfish; reminds me of watching Clipper players 8 years ago or so. When all the players were trying to buff up their stats and 'EARN' contracts or to be traded to winning teams.

Bynum and Farmer sort of makes me less worried, I think they will become pretty good players themselves soon.

I don't know. I like LA teams. I think we need to get rid of Kobe and Lamar and start fresh. Until KB changes, Lakers will always end up losing and blame its players for 'standing around'

I know many will disagree with me. I don't think KB can lead a team to win a championship. I think he's rather a 2nd string. Unless he has a dominant center, it will be difficult to replicate the success Lakers enjoyed early 2000s. Don't get me wrong though, KB IS TALENTED INDIVIDUAL! I am hopeful that one day he can use all his abilities and still be successful; because game of basketball requires more than INDIVIDUAL abilities and knowledge. It requires collective efforts.

Wow, Jason! I hope your chest feels lighter now that you have sounded off about the Lakers. Perhaps you should mail your comments to Phil Jackson. In any case, GO SUNS!!!

That's because you have not been posting pics of hotties with short mini skirts and guys being guys, the next best thing is to talk about sports, although I am not really into basketball.

Jason, you're 142% right about Kobe.

Even Michael Jordan couldn't win without Pippen, Kukoc, Kerr and Rodman. Kobe's NEVER gonna win again without the likes of Shaq or someone else to requires team play to be successful.

He deserves what he gets IMHO, and nothing more, unless he realizes that basketball is a TEAM sport.

Amazing how these basic concepts are lost to prima-donnas with egos bigger than John Goodman's belly!

exactly! I am just annoyed because I love all the LA teams equally! I loved LA Clippers since 1992 when we had Danny Manning, Ken Norman, Ron Harper, Mark Jackson, Stanley Roberts, Elmore Spencer to name a few. I don't know, something about them being 'underdog' always made me to rally for them! Elton Brand, Shawn Marion, Ben Wallace are my FAVORITE players in NBA.

Even when I play basketball, I get irritated when team play is left behind and 1-on-1 moves go on. I know everyone wants to "SCORE" whether it is any sports or 'ahem' female; but in sports, team concept is very important unless it's golf or tennis. Well, let me take back; in tennis, there's doubles match, haha. golf, international tournament where each country is being represented.

I know how to shoot, score, but I love to pass and defend. I want to bring the team together (ie Shane Battier, Pippen, etc) So many people I play ball with, shoot so often; Heck, if I shot 20 times a game too, I would score as much in these pick-up games too!

Anyway, going back to KOBE, why is he 'showing off' his dribble skills at the top of the key wasting valuable time to set the offense? SO WHAT? What does that got to do with scoring or picking defense apart? Since the ball isn't being moved around, defense can relax and concentrate and focus on ballhandler. Since most of these laker players don't really move OFF OF THE BALL anyway, they go deep in SHOT CLOCK and hoist prayers with buzzer going off. (perfect time for KB to do his 'HEROIC' shots like that of MJs)

WATCH SUNS, they cross the timeline at around 22-20 seconds left in shot clock whereas lakers cross the timeline usually around 20-18 seconds left in shot clock. Suns get more time to set their offense IF they don't find shots they want.

That's the difference between the winning team vs. LOSING TEAM. If u can't learn opponents' tendencies after so many games, maybe you shouldn't be playing the game. You get paid to play this wonderful game; doing some homework wouldn't hurt.

Luke - wants to explore free agency? roflmao, go ahead, be our guest, he is good, but NOT that good. better off being 6th man. he is so stiff! imagine him on dance floor, hehe.

Holy cow! How the heck did GS pull this incredible upset!?!?!?! Don Nelly must've known his former players inside out eh? poor Avery Johnson, haha. I guess that trade worked out well for GS Warriors compared to Indiana Pacers, roflmao!!!

I am SO happy for the Warriors! They went through hell! after losing so many star players in past. Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway, Chris Webber, Donyell Marshall, Joe Smith, Latrell Sprewell, Tom Gugliotta to name a few. I can't believe they drafted Mike Dunleavy, Jr. with top pick, lol.
