Default Boris Yeltsin 1931-2007 RIP

The former Russian president who broke up the Soviet Union and dismantled the country's communist economy, died yesterday from heart problems. He brought democracy to a communist country we thought could never change, a so called evil empire. The world is a better place today due to Boris. We owe him a lot for standing up to and on those red army tanks. May he RIP. A vodka toast to Mr. Yeltsin! Devi!

Aside from the fact that Boris Yeltsin was a drunk, corrupt politician (or is that the definition of a politician?) who mismanaged the Russian economy, traded favors with other corrupt politicians for some personal gain, and had about 2/3s of Russia pissed off with him, he was a character. And he was better than Putin towards the US. Na zdrovya, Boris!

Name me a US politician who is not corrupt, has not mismanaged our country, has not traded favors for personal gain, and has not gotten most of the voters PO'd? And what's wrong with being a drunk (mmmm Teddy Kennedy seems to be pretty popular and he even killed a woman while drunk).
Now name me a US politician who has the guts to stand up to the establishment (in Boris's case the Communist Government and Red Army) and change a system!

Another toast to commarad Boris!

Once again, Tupi, you misunderstand me. I admire Yeltsin for his courage in dealing with a country that lost its way, and standing up against the Soviet regime. I just like to put things in perspective, and show that Yeltsin wasn't too popular among his own people, but he was a leader who wasn't afraid of change.
