Default Schools

Looking for some flight schools in the USA. I already have looked at Delta connection academy, ATP Sierra Academy, Regional Academy and flight safety, Anymore? How good is the school. FBO(fixed base operation) welcomed too.

I think there is also a PanAm Flight Univeristy (or something like that), don't know much about them. I also think that UND (University of North Dakota) has a flight program as does the University of Illinois (I think they have one). Don't know much beyond that though. There is also ERAU (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University), they have 2 campuses (One in Daytona Beach, the other in Prescott Arizona), and their tuition is about the same as Delta Connection Academy.

Go to an FBO, get lots of flight hours and get a degree in something practical besides flying. Avoid cash cows like ERAU if you're looking to be a pilot.

Most important, find a good instructor. Someone who loves teaching and isn't there just to build hours. I prefer the FBO method as opposed to big "Aeronautical Universities".
