Smile Hello!

My first post here,so i had better introduce myself first.

My name is Ben,Husband of Emma (aka emzd953),who apears to be a regular member/poster on here.

I am employed by Marshall Aerospace(MA),Cambridge U.K.,and i am involved in various current projects(do a google to find out more on MA,you might be surprised at what we have done in the past and what we currently do!).

My spare time is eaten up being involved in "various other historic aviation projects",keeping my BMW in trim and trying to keep the corrosion at bay(there is a link to my cars page in my public profile, have a look),collecting actual full-size aviation hardware, and also i`m a big fan of collection 1:144 scale models(prefer die-cast).

So thats my introduction complete!

Look forward to many more post on the various in-house forums!

Ben.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm Richard, a licenced private pilot from California (San Jose to be exact).

This forum tends to get a little turbulent, best keep that seatbelt fastened. Enjoy!

I have no problems with a good turbulent forum,as long as things do not stoop so low as to get personal as i have seen happen on other forums

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome! Your wife is the one with the Vulcan obsession (which I share). I've answered a few of her queries on things like finding decals for your models, especially the C-130...how's that going, btw? The postings can get a bit nasty, and name-calling is not unheard of, but hey, they don't call this the Wild West of collecting forums for nothing.

I think the Vulcan obsession, runs through 90% of the U.K. population!
Hence the return to flight in the first quarter of next year of XH558.

A unique sound and sight,i for one will be looking for to the first flight, and in fact will be there to witness the event myself!

The C-130 Conversion has been shelved until the new year(at least),and thanks for the previous advice for decals etc...

I was scratch building the parts to make W.2 C-130 XV208,but then i stumbled apon a complete vac-form kit of the said aircraft in 1:144 scale at a local market for 2 pounds(big spender!).

So i just used the required parts from the kit and added them to a Corgi Aviation Archive example, the kit also came with the correct decals.
