Are the big Lancs all you collect? None of the other British or American WWII bombers? Lancs are great planes and all, but that's kind of limited. I've been collecting bombers of all types in various scales, mostly 1/144 or smaller. I don't have a Lanc yet, though, but I'll eventually add that to my collection. Welcome to the forum, and don't let the occassional butthead put you off (we've got a few of 'em).

I always find it interesting to hear about what other people collect. In this case, we are complete opposites. I primarily collect commonwealth aircraft (RAF, RN, RCAF, RAAF, RNZAF).

I suppose it all balances out at the end of the day, eh?

Cheers.

Hi Steve!

Hmmm... After I collect all of the Corgi Lancs, I will start to get the B-17s, as they're the next best thing.

Cheers.

James.

I too have a fondness for British bombers...the Lancs, Wellingtons, Halifaxes, Stirlings and Mosquitoes, the V bombers after the war, especially the Vulcan, which has to be one of the coolest military aircraft to ever fly. I'm waiting for one of these manufacturers, maybe DW, to start a line of 1/400 bombers. If any of you out there are with this, maybe we can convince the powers that be who read these posts to consider that. It would be a huge market, I'm sure.

Not full but there is a couple of us here!

Welcome james,

No your not alone,my husband collects 1:144 scale diecasts.

Plenty of 1:144 scale Corgi Lancs to be had in differing colour schemes, they should keep you going for a little while.

Q: are you collecting Avro Lancastrians as well?

Shame there are no 1:144 Avro Lincoln`s or Shackleton`s

Emma.

Hi Emma!

James here.

No. I'm going to be collecting Avro Lancasters for a while, then I might start collecting B-17s, so I can build up two miniature air forces!

Thanks.

James.

James & Emma

Pretty welcome to the forum, please do not let our loose tongue scare you away. Mainly we collect 1/400, 1/500 and 1/200 scale aircraft. Many collectors do favour other scales because of those WWII planes of war.

Hey, nutsX, is English a second language to you, or are your typing skills that bad?

I have the RAF Versions of the Mosquito, B-17, B-24, B-25, & B-26 released by Armour 1:48. Do these count?

Hi Moomis!

James here.

Any bomber (Mosquito, B-17, B-24, B-25, B-26, etc) that is in Royal Air Force colours count in my mind, Moomis.

Cheers.

James.

really?

In response to your questions, yes to all of the above. I'm originally from Chile and even in my native language, castellano/castilian, I pretty much suck.

James ... Welcome to the Jungle! (DA.C). There are a few of us females lurking around but I just collect 1:400's, 1:500's and WISH I could afford to collect 1:200's!
