Your right. He was being questioned about Paula Jones, when Ken Starr through in a question that was not part of this disposition, and frankly was a personal, Family matter. He was cought off gaurd, and did what any normal man would have done. Lied to protect his family. It was not a lie about national security. It wasn't a lie that caused thousands of soldiers to die. It was a lie, about something that happened between two consenting adults. That question should have never have been asked.

How many times has George Bush Lied? Lied us into a war with Iraq( I know you and Jim are going to love that statement) But honestly say he didn't lie about the war, but you know he's lied, Cheany's Lied. Your chronology is not quite correct. Clinton's original perjury occurred when he was being questioned under oath by Paula Jones' attorneys in conjunction with her lawsuit. The assertion that he was caught off guard by a question about womanizing during a sexual harassment lawsuit is just plain ludicrous.

I also Agree with you about the fact that he was a womanizer,but Monica Lewinski was not filing charges, nor did she report any miscounduct from Clinton. The question that was asked was if he had a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinski. A question that any married man would deny. Paula Jones was a sexual herrasment suit. So the detail was a small detail, that was minor. He didn't out a CIA agent, He didn't start a war with a country for his own agenda, and thousands of American Children didn't die in HIS war, for HIS own benifit, and lastly Two hundred THOUSAND innocent Iraqi's would still be alive.
