As Im sure most of you know, in january of this year, a Continental Airlines mechanic was sucked into the #2 engine while doing a high power run at the gate in El Paso, TX. The 737-500 was loaded with 114 pax when this happened.
Does anybody know of any other documented cases of this happening? Checked the NTSB site and only found this one. I know of props hitting ground workers, but no other cases of someone actually being sucked into and engine.....at least that I could find. Thanks. p.s. I have pics of the aftermath. They are very disturbing. However, if you are interested, and can stomach them, let me know and I can email them to you. *edit* whoops.....mEchanic

I know that here in AMS a mechanic of Martinair was once hit by a propellorblade of a F-50 and he survived but what I've been told, he is now more like a vegatable. Also I think now two year ago, a simular accident as in El Paso happened and sucked up a rampworker.
And I had a narrow escape during my ramp supervising days, when the captain of a Dash-8 decided to start his #2 unauthorized or supervised while I was doing my final checks.
