Senate sends STRONG message to terrorists

The Senate sent an amendment to the President sending a STRONG message to terrorists who are content with cutting the heads off their prisoners who, in most cases, aren't even combatants.

What is this strong message you say? We are no longer going to torture them by stripping them naked, or showering them with water. It is believed that these horrible tortures only make people who cut off innocent people's heads, angrier.

From now on, we are going to feed them gourmet meals, let them practice their religion, which they believe tells them to kill us, and ask them nicely to tell us everything they know. If they don't, we will provide them with an attorney who will argue they are being treated inhumanely until the Liberal media demand their release.

Confronted by these new and more humane methods, I am sure that we will be able to obtain all the information we will need to continue to fight the war on terrorism!

In all of this Abu Ghraib "scandal" I never saw anything (well, the guy on the box with electrodes attached to his body excluded) that would anywhere approach the level of "Prisoner Abuse" as described at the time of WWII or Vietnam, so I agree with you that the Congress really blew this one.

Of course, we may wish to "outsource" such work to friends who have developed a knack for it over the years, like we did in the Vietnam war.

When you know that the enemy will not respect your troops rights if captured, I really don't give a damn about theirs

You forgot the liberals in the senate also want to provide the terrorists free membership in the ACLU and Auto Club. Kennedy and Kerry added the Auto Club so that if the terrorists car bomb breaks down before they get to the target, they can get a free tow to kill the Americans.

We are soooo mean to prisoners. I remember the classic from the Lebanese civil war where rebels were always kidnapping westeners and holding them for ransom. One day, one of the radical muslim groups kidnapped 4 members of Russia's diplomatic mission and demanded ransom.

Russia demanded their immediate release and one of the captives was found murdered the next day with a note saying they would do the same to the other three if their demands were not met.

The Russians kidnapped the brother of the radical Muhla heading the group who kidnapped their people. They surgically (I assume used anasthetic as well) his genitals and put them in a neatly wrapped box.

They sent brother back to the Muhla with the box and a message. The 3 Russians were immediately released unharmed.

This country has outsourced so many functions to other countries. I am sure there are a lot of unemployed Russians with the needed "skill sets" who could achieve better results in Iraq blissfully free of the burden of conscience.

Oh, we have sent much stronger messages to the terrorists before, this one will hardly be noticed. Let's see:

1. We aided and basically created the Taliban in our efforts in Afghanistan in the 1980s.
2. We gleefully aided and assisted the Bonsian army and their Mujahideen "freedom fighters" as they happily cut Serb soldiers heads off, poked eyes out, slit throats, and defiled Christian churches.
3. We supported the KLA in their massive drug importation, white slavery, and terrorist efforts. Then propped them up as the rulers of Kosovo and now look the other way when they commit violence against Christian minorities in a land that once belonged to the Christians. Our warplanes that wouldn't even bomb the Iraqi's during Ramadan devastated Serbian monasteries on Easter, in defence of the KLA.
4. We unabashedly support the Saudi government and have protected them against the "evil Iraqi's" even though the MAJORITY of the 911 hijackers were Saudi. We claim them to be our "greatest allies" while their royal family pours millions into the very schools that brainwash children telling them that we are the "Great Satan".
5. We gleefully supported the Chenyans against Russia until their atrocities became so repulsive that even we couldn't stand them.
6. Our president openly opposed the arming of pilots based on the recommendation of his first choice for TSA administrator, John McGaw of Waco and Ruby Ridge fame. And even to this day our TSA is the biggest joke going, harassing 3 year old girls while allowing foreigners to video tape their checkpoints and operations.
7. We refuse to regulate the boarder.
8. After our great leader declared an end to hostilities in Iraq, we watched and did nothing while Iraqi's raided and looted arms storage bunkers.

And yet we just can't understand why this monster that we helped create, nourished, nurtured and fed, has decided to turn on us.

So tell me just how this latest Senatorial message isn't just more water under the bridge?

Of course you Jimbo will accuse me of being a liberal, but I hope that one day you will see that our nation's salvation does not lay in the hands of Bush and the Republicrat party which you so venomously and mindlessly defend.
