Don't let Nathan Bedford Forrest hear you calling him a democrat! Why bother posting factual statements when you can continue making stuff up, so much easier that way!

Cool

Yo Cpal, your knowledge of history is only superceded by your dimwhitted views of Islamic terrorism. Here are some facts and I thought I would HIGHLIGHT what party the *** was NOT a part of:

The original Ku Klux Klan was created after the end of the American Civil War on December 24, 1865, by six educated, middle-class Confederate veterans[2] who were bored with postwar Pulaski, Tennessee. The name was constructed by combining the Greek κυκλος (circle) with "clan."[3] It was at first a humorous social club centering on practical jokes and hazing rituals.[4] From 1866 to 1867, the Klan began breaking up black prayer meetings and invading black homes at night to steal firearms. Some of these activities may have been modeled on previous Tennessee vigilante groups such as the Yellow Jackets and Redcaps.

A political cartoon depicting the *** and the Democratic party as continuations of the Confederacy. In an 1867 convention held in Nashville, the Klan was formalized as a national organization under a "Prescript" written by George Gordon, a former Confederate brigadier general. The Prescript states as the Klan's purposes:[5]

The Prescript also includes a list of questions to be asked of applicants for membership, which confirms the focus on resisting Reconstruction and the Republican Party. The applicant is to be asked whether he was a Republican, a Union Army veteran, or a member of the Loyal League; whether he is "opposed to Negro equality both social and political;" and whether he is in favor of "a white man's government," "maintaining the constitutional rights of the South," "the reenfranchisement and emancipation of the white men of the South, and the restitution of the Southern people to all their rights," and "the inalienable right of self-preservation of the people against the exercise of arbitrary and unlicensed power."

Carry on looney tunes!

Perhaps you should READ a little more historical fact before you make lame statements like this one Dylan. Of course, this seems to be your preference, I just thought that you would like to be more informed.

See the ABOVE facts and by all means, Carry on!

P.S. They were SOUTHERN Democrats meatheads.

Nathan Bedford Forrest did not found the *** you moron. As a matter of fact, eventually he acted to disband the *** as he saw that it's purposes had become subverted by extremist elements within.

It was during this time that he became the nexus of the nascent Ku Klux Klan movement. According to one oral report, George Gordon, a former Confederate brigadier general, went to Forrest in Memphis and told him about the new organization, to which Forrest replied, "That's a good thing; that's a damn good thing. We can use that to keep the niggers in their place."

He was acclaimed at a Nashville, Tennessee, *** convention (1867) as the first Grand Wizard, or leader-in-chief of that organization. In an 1868 newspaper interview, Forrest boasted that the Klan was a nationwide organization of 550,000 men, and that although he himself was not a member, he was "in sympathy" and would "cooperate" with them, and could himself muster 40,000 Klansmen with five days' notice. He stated that the Klan did not see blacks as its enemy so much as "carpetbaggers" (northerners who came south after the war ended) and "scalawags" (white Republican southerners).

Forrest, disagreeing with its increasingly violent tactics, ordered the Klan to disband, stating that it was "being perverted from its original honorable and patriotic purposes, becoming injurious instead of subservient to the public peace." Due to the national organization's lack of control, this proclamation was more a symptom of the Klan's decline than a cause of it. Many of its groups in other parts of the country ignored the order and continued to function. Subsequently, Forrest preferred to distance himself from the ***.

Once again you make absurd comments about things you OBVIOUSLY know little about. Making stuff up is definately your forte' looney tune. Are you one of the intellectual Liberals we keep hearing about?

Dismissed looney tune.

Can you really be this dumb? I am not sure if you understand what Jeremy has stated here. I happen to be a Consevative Republican, and yes, I am aware that Southern Democrats were supportive of and helped to found the ***. That should upset YOU because you're the looney Liberal moron who supports the Democrats, not I.

Do you consider yourself a Liberal Intellect too? Dismissed looney tune!

Sure, the "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" was founded by a couple of nice fellows having some beers and telling Jokes - in the end they just wanted to prevent western Europe to fall in Hands of Comunism... Oh yeah! And their "Führer" was this friendly abstinet vegetarian Christian... too bad he didn't like the jewish Comunity too much... but that was just a detail...

Good one, Takeo.

Did you ever check the connections between "Skulls and Bones" and the "Thule-Gesellschaft"? Pretty amazing stuff.
