Default Oktoberfest

Hello, this weekend will start the Oktoberfest in Munchen, Germany. I'm really happy because also this year I will be there for the annual beer-lovers meeting.
I printed a special t-shirt for the happening, a lot of people use to do it during these days: what do you think about it?
I wish you an happy weekend, I'm sure mine will be great!

Congrats on your trip to Oktoberfest Munchen!
This has got to be the beat-all festival of warm beer and ugly women and a little on the tame (lame) side..

That's just the beer talking.

And ah Hapag-Lloyd,
If you despise Americans so much than why the hell do you keep hanging out here and hanging on our every word?

I wouldn't spend EUR$500 per night during the Oktoberfest in Munchen while is only charge EUR$100 without any special event.

Who says I do? But I love and adore the way you caught my bait...

Or, to put it in a different way: I was pulling your leg. Anybody going to the Oktoberfest have yourself a good time.

You've made plenty of anti-American remarks here.

Bush is a good guy. He would never ride an Airbus product. Do you know any good Airbus joke for Ronald Minor??

I took it that Hapag Lloyd was joking, it read that way anyway, kind of a backlash joke at your insult towards Germans.

Furthermore there are no doubt plenty of people on here are to some extent anti-american, although I agree with HL, it tends to actually be anti-bush. I'm British and there appears to be a growing dislike of the man (man..or muppet?), perhaps you are a little protected from this in the USA and aren't aware of how people laugh at you for electing the guy you did.

Personally I was crushed when he got back in power, but it's OK cos he showed us his competency when New Orleans needed his support. Suprising really that he let Texas down given that he's only president to aid his continued climb up the wealth ladder generated by oil.

Of course you're from Utah aren't you, which is one of those sheltered American backwater states that like people like Bush isn't it? Funnily enough the more cultured states seem to vote against his type every time!

I leave you with a genuine question ZX1100F1, How can America be a democracy when you have political dynasties?

The only thing that I have to say to someone who has never visited the bavarian city in Oktober is... GO!!! A great place to be to close the summer with a super-party and wait for the winter snow!

That is about the most stupid statement I have heard for times!

American (or Japanese, or Italian Tourists) are the best you can get at the Oktoberfest! Much better than:

STUPID BAVARIANS using
STUPID LEATHERTROUSERS and
STUPID HATS
STUPID OLD LADIES using
STUPID DIRNDLES
STUPID SONGS
STUPID LOUDNESS
STUPID QUANTITY OF BEER

god damn the whole Oktoberfest is STUPID!!!

But for the tourists? Why not - enjoy STUPID BAVARIAN TRADITIONS, but don´t forget there´s onother Side of Germany: it´s called

Welcome to the OT section of DAC, lollo!

Nice to hear you had a good time.

@ Takeo: there´s Bavaria, there´s Prussia, and then, Germany at its best, there´s Schleswig-Holstein (and Hamburg). Personally, I´d trade the Dom or the Hafengeburtstag or the Kieler Woche for any Oktoberfest any time, hands down.

Okay - credits for this statement! You are forgiven!!

BTW: I really prefer distinct Hanseatic Charm rather than Bavarian Rusticity.

@lollmoz: That doesn´t mean that I don´t wish you had a good time down there! I hope you enjoyed you trip!

I couldn't agree more!
Yet, I gotta admit the Oktoberfest makes Bavaria definitely worth visiting despite of that silly accent spoken by the people there!
