Under every law and court decision, abortion is limited to the first two trimesters of gestation, except in cases of danger to the mothers health. Why, because it has been medically and scientifically proven that cognitive thought does not exist up to that stage and the fetus can not exist outside of the womb.

My wife and I lost a pair of twin daughters at 7 months gestation. It was not called a miscarriage. The medical term was an abortion. I am sure that whether from natural causes or conscious deed the mothers will grief just as much as my wife and I have and still do 40 years after the event.

For discussion purposes, my positions on the abortion debate is that one; I am amazed how vehemently people defend the disposal of human life. They even argue and debate it when looking at Supreme Court nominations. Whether or not the fetus is intelligent is irrelevant, it is still life.

Second, I am still perplexed why we would support the disposal of human life primarily because we as a society send the message to teens and young people that it is okay to have sex out of wedlock. Once again, we reap what we sow. My opinion is that as long as we turn the other cheek to promiscuity, teens and young women will continue to ruin their lives having abortions, which can be emotionally tramatic to the mother and family, and/or having babies out of wedlock and becoming single moms.

I'd like to see society value human life to the extent that we discourage handing out condoms to teens and discourage sex out of wedlock, especially with teens, and encourage the giving of birth to these babies and giving them up for adoption, rather then throwing them in the garbage can.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I think there is a HUGE difference in a natural medical abortion and one where the mother accidentally got pregnant by being careless and then rather than taking responsiblity for the life, chooses to have it disposed of.

Suppose if one of our daughter(s) being unaware the possibility consquences after this "oreo" child should be born? Also herself as relative/friend supporters may be either stopped nor contiune to support as term of whether it is base on love or in bitterness?

Being an irresponsibility and that mistake could be either a diaster nor deal with whatsover her consquence is going to be. Moreover, Sadly that "oreo" child will face greater difficulties between white and black society! Black society would view that oreo person as a white, while white society would view that oreo person as a black. See the point? It all depends how oreo's, as an individual, level of education and level or "stereotypes that fits within race society.

Another example: Doctor told parent that your unborn baby is going to be perfectly healthly. After the birth, bad news discovered that baby is a deaf-mute & dumb. Parent become unsatisfy and bitter against doctor for saying that "Your child will be perfect healthy before birth." Too late for abortion or whatsover. Dump that deaf baby into adoption center or orphan?

Is it reasonable to have such abortion perform base on as example explained above?

Now I am curious, how does a permissive society that condones abortion and makes excuses for poor judgement make this type of behavior better?

Just wondering. Government cannot legislate people's poor choices, decisions or behavior. It can, however promote good values and educate the people. Hopefully without making endless excuses for immoral choices.

There are certain communities, I won't mention, who continue to make excuses for poor choices and the inability to face the moral dilemna facing it's youth. Even when brave members of this community come forth to state the obvious truths, they are castigated and called Uncle Toms.

We have a choice as a society, be honest with ourselves and do the right thing, or continue to pander to voters and their racist tendancies.
