While America's Southeast suffers through a MAJOR disaster in Mississippi and Louisiana, her allies, namely France and Germany have come to her aid with pledges of help and monetary assistance for those in need.
America can always rely on world leaders to come to her aid in times of need as a result of the goodwill.....Ooooops.....wait a minute. The silence has actually been DEAFENING. Never mind. The REAL news is that the Liberals have been opened up a NEW round of unprecedented divisive rhetoric and hate filled speeches directed at George Bush and his administration. Everyone knows that at times like these, it's a perfect time to point fingers, lay blame and ignore solving the problems confronting the Hurricane victims. I know your all talk, but can you walk the walk? Nah, I didn't think so. Because basically Steve, you haven't been right about anything political. Nor do the politicians you support. You were wrong about the outcome of the last election, you and your looneys were wrong about the outcome of the Iraq war and your wrong about the threat of terrorism to our nation. With that record, I don't think I would bet either. Dismissed. Last edited by N2272V; 09-02-2005 at 09:46 PM. |

So what´s that BS you are posting? Can´t you even cut out your right wing crap when your own fellow countrymen are dying? Germany (can´t speak for other countries) has offered relief since last thursday. US officials failed to answer what kind of relief is needed most in a concerted action to help the victims; US authorities were quoted that they wanted to sort the catastrophe out on their own. Now, on sunday, they apparently changed their minds.

I guess it is more important to our media to continue the divisive Left wing rhetoric, which has been going on since 2000, at a time when people are suffering and dieing rather than informing. Carry on! ![]() Last edited by N2272V; 09-04-2005 at 03:29 PM. |

This country for the American people and in the eye’s of the world would be a much better place if the wacko liberal left and their stooge media would lead, follow or just shut up. Whining, bitching, complaining, blaming, hating are the primary messages the liberals and the liberal media are sending to Americans and the world. If you can’t offer “constructive” criticism, along with reasonable solutions to resolve the issues of this country, then we would be better off it you would just shut up. The average American is fed up listening to the liberal crying and whining BS. Here is an article that captures how most Americans are feeling.
Seeking Profit from Disaster Politics/Alan Burkhart September 3, 2005 One thing becomes patently obvious from the events of recent days. Liberals see disasters like Hurricane Katrina as an opportunity. Those of us caught in the disaster are seen as pieces on the political game board to be manipulated by angry, resentful liberals as they seek a means to return their party to power. I find it revolting to read the comments by people like Chuck Schumer and LA. Governor Kathleen Blanco regarding Hurricane Katrina. Does the Left have no shame? How can these people claim to care about the “little guy” while using one of the worst disasters in American history for their own political gain? I have always tried to write with a certain amount of detachment and neutrality. In this case however, that won’t be possible. I live in Southeastern Mississippi. I’d love to be at home right about now, but that isn’t possible. I won’t have electricity or running water for 4 to 6 weeks. I’ve seen friends and neighbors wondering where their next drink of fresh water will come from. I’ve watched while hundreds of rescuers risk their lives to save those who lacked the good sense to obey an evacuation order. I’ve sat riveted to the television watching New Orleans descend into chaos. I remember spending hours in prayer, begging the Lord to spare my home. The human suffering, devastating financial loss and utter ruination of infrastructure along the coast and across Mississippi has turned the normally peaceful South into a war zone. And what do we get from the Left? The same old mindless blame game. It’s Bush’s fault. Bush didn’t sign Kyoto so the hurricane was worse than it should have been. Bush cut taxes so the New Orleans levee system failed to keep the city above the flood. Bush didn’t act quickly enough with financial aid. High gasoline prices are Bush’s fault. Low supply levels are Bush’s fault. EVERYTHING is Bush’s fault! All the while, I haven’t heard even one of these idiots offer a suggestion as to how the situation can be improved. Excuse me, but could you people stop playing politics long enough for a couple of million of us to put our lives back together? Is that asking too much? Could you perhaps work with President Bush instead of against him for a change? Those of us who are sitting here with no power, no running water (except in the streets), no food and no fuel might actually benefit from such an unprecedented move on your part. It’s easy for Schumer and Blanco to sit in their castles and look for political advantages while I sit here ninety miles from home with my computer plugged into my semi’s cigarette lighter. I spend a lot of nights like this as a matter of course, but tonight I could be at home if not for the lack of fresh water and electricity. To be sure, my situation is far better than that of many others. It is for them that I find myself so damnably angry with those who see fit to play with the lives of Katrina’s victims while scheming to undermine any efforts our president might make to assist us. Governor Blanco seems to believe that New Orleans is flooded because President Bush cut taxes. Well Kathy, George Bush didn’t build your city in a soup bowl. George Bush didn’t design a drainage system that drains back into the city when it overflows. George Bush didn’t build your levees too low to hold back the storm surge. It’s your state Governor Blanco. All of these problems existed before President Bush was born. Why blame him? Oh… I forgot. He’s a Republican. Silly me. And Senator Schumer, instead of blaming President Bush for high fuel prices, could you perhaps offer some ideas as to how to lower them? Could you call off the so-called environmental watch dogs long enough to build a few refineries? Maybe even drill an oil well or two? Of course you won’t. That’d solve a problem, thereby leaving you one less crisis for which to blame our president. You don’t want solutions. You want problems. You don’t care one whit how many people suffer as long as you can drag President Bush’s approval rating down another notch. While cretins like Schumer and Blanco are busy spewing lies and hated, real Americans are coming together by the thousands to salvage the Southeast. Whether it’s a tree trimmer from Ohio, an electrical contractor from North Carolina, a trucker hauling emergency supplies, or a Red Cross volunteer providing a blanket and a meal for a flood victim, Americans are doing what needs to be done. And, they do so with the assistance and the blessings of a proud American president who actually cares about the people he serves. Senator Schumer, Governor Blanco… how’s about either doing something constructive or just shutting up and keeping out of the way? Those of us who felt the wrath of Hurricane Katrina would appreciate it.
