Cindy Sheehan reacts in disbelief
Cindy Sheehan was noticeably surprised yesterday when some reporters pointed out to her that her son, Casey, an Army Specialist who was tragically killed last year in Iraq at the age of 24, chose to enlist in the Army and was not drafted. “You’re telling me that he wanted to join the Army?” she said as she shielded her eyes, sweating under the hot Texas sun. When told yes, Ms. Sheehan re-grouped with some friends before re-approaching reporters. “We believe my son was probably not told that the Army was a dangerous job. George Bush and his cronies probably never told him he’d be put in harm’s way. He just wanted to make a living, not get killed. So he joined the Army, yes, but he didn’t expect any violence.” When a reporter had the gall to suggest that most people join the Army with the understanding that violence was part of the equation, he was shouted down with a chant of “Neo-Con Draft-Loving War Monger.” Despite appearances, though, cracks were beginning to appear in the protest group. “This news is a bit disturbing,” said one of Sheehan’s friends. “We really thought he was chased down and dragged into the Army. Turns out he chose to join. Now, nobody deserves to die, particularly at the age of 24, but this definitely changes things a bit. Now, when Cindy asks, ‘Why did my son die,’ someone can answer, ‘Well, cause he joined the Army and was paid to execute the policy and plan of his Commander in Chief.’ Sort of takes the wind out of the sails, you know?” Indeed, some of the protesters had suggestions as to how this problem could be avoided in the future. “They need to make the Army a little more flexible,” said Ken Abrahms, who quit his job to protest along side Sheehan. “For instance, they should have a vote before we go to war, and they need, like ¾ of the Army to vote yes before they go. And the folks who vote no don’t have to go. But the people who vote no keep getting paid—they can give them desk jobs or something. It’s much more democratic that way.” courtesy of www.spoof.com |

It always looks so authoritive when someone posts something as a valid news article quoted by, "...reporters..." without showing the background of where those, "Reporters" come from. You list www.spoof.com as the source. Clicking on that link brings up, "No web site is configured at this address."
This whole story seems as "accurate" as all the comments coming from out fascistic Whitehouse. ![]() |

I´m aware of that; it was an easy guess, since all you post is "made up"... err, quoted from "reliable sources".
