That Sheehan lady that's protesting the war in Texas is a fruit!!!!!!! I'm sorry that her son was killed in action, but he signed up to join the military!!! What did she think he was going to do?! If one signs up to join the military, one should expect that one day he/she just might have to go to war. What kills me about this whole thing is that the media is giving her loads of attention. As far as I'm concerned, she's a frickin' nut!!!!!!!!

Unhappy A fine example of our Government being cold-heart!

Why can't George Bush simply invite this lady and have a chat with her? I am sure that 100+ of Secret Service will be around with an armed weapons and Bush would feel much safe.

This poor mother seek for an answer: Why the war? Why my boy got killed? Why am I lonely? and Why_________? Whatsoever.

If I am the President of the United States of America and I would definately invite that mother of loss son that got killed by my war and have a comfortable talks.

Is it hard to do this? DUH?

This message whatsover Bush is sending is a bad message. No heart = No support of his war.

(Hey Piston, I understand how your feeling and concern. It is getting tiring issue but look at Holloway's case. I guess any mother that love children have strong chemistry, than we can understand, is seeking for an answer from anyone whoever is responsibe for their child's death. The same examples goes to DUI, Domestic Violence, and etc..... All mothers will raise hell until an answer is served. Bitchy isn't it? That is within women's chemistry. Be glad we have those bitchy-attitudes! I would image that YOUR mother probably would have done the very same thing if you get "wrongly" killed from whatsever happened to you.)

Now I except Jim McDonald going to defend my Bush-bashing!

Ummmm, what about all the other mothers that there sons got killed??? Why aren't they all raging lunatics... What she is doing is disgracing her son and her family. Her son liked Bush and what he was doing. He would not have wanted her to do this... She is a nut case... Plain and simple.

Kinda reaching in your facts, unless of course you knew the soldier that was killed intimately and knew exactly what he would want his mom to do and how he felt about Bush.

There was a live interview with the Solidiers dad this after noon actually, and he went in focus about it, and how he (the solider) felt about Bush. How the solider went back into the service after 9/11 even though his tour of duty was over. He was a Blackhawk pilot in the Marines, and the father said the soliders views on Bush were agreeing about being in Iraq, and he was happy to go back in. This was all from an interview from the O'Riley Factor tonight, Aug. 15th.

Sheehan has to remember that her son joined the military, not the Boy Scouts. Did it ever occur to her that someday her son might have to go to war. I mean, heaven forbid if you join the military and then actually go to war. If I joined the military then I know there is ALWAYS a chance that I might actually see combat. Maybe she thought her son was going to do nothing more than wear a nice looking uniform and look important. What a nut!

Two points to ponder:

1. The US military is all volunteer - her son had to take an action to get in.
2. Sheehan's husband has filed for divorce - it puts her actions in perspective.

Even Andrea Yates had her 5 minutes of fame...

Don't bother, CanaDork will never get it

I know many soldiers who have served in Iraq, they all tell a much different story than CanaDork would have you believe....

Yes, I know soldiers too, including my (female) cousin who is a Brigadier General that just got back from Iraq a few months ago... She couldn't say a bad thing about Bush if she wanted too. She has seen why were in Iraq first hand.

You aren't very bright are you?

You can serve now since no one else wants to. Lobby your Congressman and make sure that they raise that age limit. Better make sure it is really high so that you and Jimbo can serve together.

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N22612649.htm

WASHINGTON, July 22 (Reuters) - Faced with major recruiting problems sparked by troop deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Pentagon has asked Congress to raise the maximum age for U.S. military enlistees from 35 to 42 years old.

The request, sent to lawmakers this week, would apply to all active duty branches of the military services, said Air Force Lt. Col. Ellen Krenke, a Pentagon spokeswoman, on Friday. But it is aimed chiefly at the active duty Army, which has fallen far short of recruiting goals this year, by adding millions of potential enlistees.

The Army has provided most of the 140,000 U.S. ground troops in Iraq and has also relied heavily on part-time soldiers from the National Guard and Reserve for year-long deployments there.

Krenke said the active duty Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, which are meeting their recruiting goals, were unlikely to change their current policy of declining to accept recruits older than 35.

The new proposal would not change the limit of 39 years old for those with previous military service who seek to enlist in the Army Reserves and National Guard.

The Army National Guard, struggling more than any other part of the U.S. military to sign up new troops amid the Iraq war, missed its ninth straight monthly recruiting goal in June.

The regular Army met its recruiting goal this month, but is still 14 percent behind its year-to-date recruiting target and is in danger of missing an annual recruiting goal for the first time since 1999. The Army Reserve is 21 percent behind its year-to-date goal and also in danger of falling short for the year.

Way to keep avoiding the military service, maybe the Bush twins will join up and you can keep selling furniture and hanging out with communists.

Just why is it that Canadians are so pissed? They were promised the best of the French language and British military - instead they got the English language and the French military.

- Those who sacrifice their security for total liberty will find that liberty temporary.

Please do not confuse Cpal with the facts Wildcat. Don't you know he lives in a world of fanatical hate for things American. I am sure he could care less about the FACTS and will just post more nonsense about how evil Bush is and how the American Military is incompetent.

By the way, Sheehan's husband has reached his end and now filed for divorce. Can't blame him I guess.
Carry on!

So, how is Bush not evil? I'm very curious to hear whatever "response" you have.

Who ever said that the America military was incompetent? Haven't they already accomplished their mission over in Iraq. Things are looking rosy over there and they already have their very own constitution.............

Because he already met with her and the fact is she is not as interested in meeting with him as she is in making a political statement.

She's not interested in seeking answers. She already has them. She is more interested in making political statements with support from the looney's at Moveon.org. Nothing more, nothing less.
