Thumbs up

Nice forum, I was able to understand about three or four words. Five if we count Herpa. How come you guys don't have a forum in English?
I noticed that you guys do not do the "Best regards/Greetings" thing.

well I know that German was spoken as far as Russia and the southern coasts in South America not too long ago. nowdays we still have a "We habla Aleman" community in Southern Chile.

Now honestly, as you can see by looking at myself, we´re not really fluent at English, and not everybody likes to expose his/her wee little lacking lingual skills.

I´m an exception, as is (for instance) Alex.

This is typical for US-Americans - everybody should speak English because YOU do not understand any other languages. The pilots language is English - at least in major parts of the world. But collectors are no pilots and no one can expect that they learn another language just for their hobby. Therfore it needs forums in other languages like a German one for the 100'000'000 people speaking this language!

By the way - you forgot Namibia: Swakopmund and Lüderitzbucht are 80%
germanspeaking and i met many farmers throughout the country in 3rd or 4th generation still speaking German. I remember whan i came to Swakopmund and stopped at a petrol station. A tall black guy came and asked "Auftanken und Oel kontrollieren?".

This is typical for YOU GERMANS - everybody should not have a sense of humor becasue YOU don't have one. (this is called a parody for those of you in Germay or Rio Linda)

PS: I do speak German, I was born in Germany and half my family lives there. So much for your ASSumptions about US Americans. DER.

Dismissed.

Just want to inform that most everyone in public school in grades 3-12 learn another language. Even if it is not German, it still is another language. So why dont you keep you way off accusations to your self.

But I have no problem with having a german model website.

Thank you for mentioning that FlyNavy. I left that out and I forgot to mention that my son has chosen "German" as his choice of language to learn. I am pleasantly surprised that schools here are offering German now and more French classes as well. Here in California, almost everyone takes Spanish for obvious reasons.

Nuthin like bein a ignerent Amurican.

Carry on!

Default correction

Great - i did not know that there are that many bilingual and triplelingual people in the US - but maybe this is because they are not coming to Europe or they never were at the same places I was when I was (very often) in the US. And just to avoid any attacks - THIS IS A JOKE!

So a great opportunity to visit the the German forum at www.flugzeugmodelleforum.ch.vu and show your talent - maybe we will add sometime in the future a French, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Finish, Swedish, Spanish or Portuguese section?

OK, so English it is - but don´t any of you complain about my spelling or other lingual disabilities, or I´ll switch right back to German...

I don't remember EVER making any comments about your spelling. Like I said, I only wish my German was as good as your English. Your politics however, are an entirely DIFFERENT matter.

I was talking/writing about other forum members ("you" as a plural who like to pm me about my Enlish. You are correct when you point out that you never criticized me about my language.
