Default What would you give you collection up for?

I know this seems to be a bit strange but what would you give your collection up for?

I guess that I'd have to say: Proper grammar.

You ended your sentence with a preposition:

Give up my collection? $14,000US ought to do the trick.

Quite a question my friend. I made a an estimate of how much I have spent in the last five years and I got sick. In this calculation you have to take in consideration not only the price you paid for the models. There is more money, you have to include into your numbers S&H. If you travel to the store/show to buy your models there is a bit more money such as gas food, etc. Remember that your time invested in this hobby is worth money too. You got a small fortune in that collection along the value.

In a given moment I'd trade my collection for a piece of bread, some fresh water, a pair of used shoes, a tube of antibiotic ointment, a toothbrush or a belt to hold my pants. Not to mention a new kidney, knee, few/a teeth, etc. Sorry I just finished watching the movie Empire of the Sun. Lucky me that life is good and that moment of desperation is not here yet.

1/3 of my collection is not going to be for trade and I'm taking it to the grave with me. The other 2/3 is looking for a new home.

Regards!!

P/S: OK, if you find a real state guy that would take my collection as part of a down payment for a house, you got a deal (10% is yours)

Well, back on topic... This one was a little easy for me... A Ferrari 360 GTC would do me over quite nicely...

I can understand the military shower room, but the YMCA??? Everytime I hear that, the song pops in my head and bad images go through my head...

ANNNNDDD.....back on topic again...I've actually been thinking about giving up my collection. I've stopped buying new releases while I'm trying to figure out what I want to spend my money on. Car, house, girl, beer, old guns...what more does a man need? Airplanes have been falling to the bottom of the list month after month.

It would be a shame for me to stop a hobby that I've been doing for a helluva long time. I'm just trying to figure out if I should just stop and hold onto the 1000+ collection or should I start selling them so I can buy that WWII M1 Garand that Uncle Sam has been holding for me:

Just sent your payment via PayPal. Now, give up the goods. And UPS or DHL, please. No need for that pesky Marvin1000101010100010101010010101012 to get his gubby mitts on my precious babies...

my collection could be bought for a new car... Probably a Porsche 911... if you saw my collection you'd see it's only 62 models ( a LOT not entered into my collection yet). so yes they have a high value to me. or i'd trade them to spend the next 20 years with Paris Hilton....just not her credit card bills

I would give up all my 1:500, 1:400, 1:100 and 1:72 plus all my home built 1:144 and 1:200 for the new Porsche 911. In the meantime I fully intend to buy a used one within the next 30 days.
