Thumbs up The Final Inspection

Subject:
THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,The Final Inspection
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Try never to forget, it is your Armed Forces, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is your Armed Forces, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is your Armed Forces, not the protesters and demonstrators that gave us the freedoms to protest and demonstrate. It is your Armed Forces, not the politicians that ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is your Armed Forces who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the radicals to burn the flag.

A German, a British and an American soldier were on a plane together... plane crashes, the soldiers made it to lonely island... problem, the island was habitated only by some wild indigenous. The soldiers were caught by the indians and death sentenced, under one condition:

Okay, you are free men IF you get into the bush and bring ONE fruit... and no matter what happens afterwards... YOU SHALL NOT LAUGH!!! IF YOU LAUGH YOU DIE!!!

German goes out... after a while returns with a Cherry... No laughs...

British goes out... after a while returns with a Banana... Some giggeling ... British killed!!!

American goes out... after a while German and British meet in heaven (beyond the face of God)...

British: But why are YOU here - you didnīt laugh when the Indians told you to stick the cherry into your B U T T!!!???

German: Ja, its bekass I couldnīt hold me back venn 'se American returned wiss szis bigg WATERMELON!!!

Not right wing you moron. Nor am I left wing. I have a sister who serves in the United States Navy, a brother-in-law who is a United States Marine, a Grand Father who served in the Navy during WWII and was wounded and given a purple heart, a Great Grand Father who served as an Army sniper in WWI. My Uncle was an Air Force Airman who served during the Cold War and another Uncle who served in Vietnam. I my self hope to be attending the United States Naval Academy in two or so years.

Those men and women are out there protecting the United States and the rest of the world. They are protecting the freedom which is so great in this world and is worth fighting for.

So of course I am taking this fu ckin seriously. I have to worry about them dying. So why dont you shut up and sit your Bi tch a s s down.

As much as I hate Takeo von Tucher, that ARWEST N9345 I dont agree with. I do not agree Takeo von Tucher and his point of view, but you are now being racist to all Iranians. Even if we have our disagreements, it is not right to be racist.

There was nothing racist in what I said. Believe me, if I was making a racist statement there would be no mistaking it. I am not going to sit idly by while someone from a country that the president calls "part of the axis of evil", a country that is working day and night to develop nuclear weapons, trashes the U.S. military, I'll be damned if I'm going to sit back and not respond. Oh, and to put this another way. If this was 1938 and a German was making those comments about our military, I would have said exactly the same thing...and I'm 50% German. Oh, one last thing. I do wish you well and hope you do make it into the Naval Academy.

American military has to be taken seriously because they do a lot of serious stuffs in the world. One of the greatest contributions of American Military is liberating Europe from World War2 which the Nazi Military Started . The American military liberated millions of surviving jews from the holocaust - wherin millions of jews were already killed by the the Nazi military .

This sounds like the Steven Spielberg version of history. I think that there may have been a couple of other countries involved in that dustup.

Talking about the American armed forces, whom I highly respect, of course:

Did they manage to bring peace to Iraq yet, or is the civil war still on over there? You donīt hear too many heroic news any more, so either the war must be over, or it is ho-hummed for some reason. Which one is it?

Yes them too! Sorry I didn't put the whole chess board together. And as you know I do know History.

Stalin, The Russian Bear, did have moves of his own. Called TU-4 also known as B-29 was the start of the Cold War.

Gee wiz...you list your location as being in PERSIA....should I expect you're not Iranian?? Of course with that screen name you could be German...either way you're so far to the left..and obviously so anti American that I would not give you the time of day, and would not piss on you if you were on fire! It really is a shame you hate our military so much. Because, if you're really in Iran, and your country continues on the path it seems to be headed, you might be meeting lots of our troops real soon...Sleep well..

Man, and if you were just a little reflected, you would recognize the tiny detail, which is calling Iran Persia, and you would know the political meaning of that.

Iīm not Anti-American - and BTW: If I were it was my choice and my choice is to be FREE in a free and democratic world, that means I can be anti of whatever I like - but in fact I'm ANTI Bush and I'm anti Republican government and I'm anti brainwashed americans!!!

I LOVE the reflected part of the American citizens - the democratic ones of course!!!
