Exclamation AviationRetailDirect

I bought like 9 models from ARD.
I just received 5 of the 9. (So the price of 5 of the 9 were credited from my visa)
After 1-2 months I still did not received the other 4 ...
What should I do? Wait longer or what? Because I really want the boughten models, and I don't want to buy them on ebay because maybe ARD will send it to me and then I have the model twice and paid it also twice ...
Regards
Alvaro

Have you contacted them about the situation?

I would have thought that would be the first thing to do!

Well before buying the items, I mailed them 3x and they never replied, so I thought this would be the same situation ...

They haven't charged you yet for the other 4 so I don't think you should be expecting them in the first place.

Well the models should be :
Sabena Aero Classics Boeing 727-100
Sabena Aero Classics Boeing 747-200 (OO-SGB)
DHL A300 Herpa 1/500
TNT Herpa B747 OO-THA

The problem is, that they have my VISA number. So they can charge it when they want ...
That's what I am scared off...

Well in that case it appears you no longer want to get the models.

I don't think anything can be considered bought if it has not been paid for already...in this case your visa has not been credited. If you definitely want to have this changed, then you should try and contact them, or have Visa make a stop payment on their account.

Thanks for the tip!

The problem is that the models you list either haven't been made yet, or are probably sold out, so that's why you haven't received them. There is NO SABENA Boeing 727-100 made yet!! If they are not available and you haven't been charged, what's the problem? They will only charge you when they are available and have shipped them.

Aviation Retail Direct have always given me good service. There is an annoying nerd who is constantly trying to hack into their website and e-mail, so they often have computer problems. You might try to call them on the phone, I have always had a good result when phoning them.

Simply CALL Gary or Paul !

They are very busy and therefore do not reply to mails very often, but I am sure they read them as far as I have experienced.
ARD has always delivered a good service to me and I do order regularly.

As some of the other folks already said: they can only deliver when they receive the models by themselves - and sometimes it takes a little longer in comparison to continental Europe or vice versa.

Be patient Alvaro.

You guys don't get the point. I already reserved 9 planes and 5 are already paid. But the other 4 are reserved and I cannot cancel them. So now I MUST wait for the models, and this can be for a long period ... But I do not know the period. ...

I pre - ordered something from them ages ago. I then forgot about it, so I had a nice surprise when it finally arrived!

Never had any problems with them, and also, when I was there at the shop (April), I noticed the young guy looking at DA.C on the computer, so they obviously must look on here from time to time.

The older guy with the beard wasn't really friendly (I assumed he was busy) but the young guy was, once I got talking, or more like, when I asked if they still had the Phoenix Thai 787 that was on special offer on the website. I got the last one apparently. I don't care that it has bent up 'flying' wings, it looks nice to me.

I never mentioned I was on DA.C though as I like a bit of anonynimity (or however you spell it).
I like people to say

'Who IS that guy??'

Not in a egotistical way though, I just like to blend into the background or just be 'that guy'.

Roarer,

The older guy with the beard was Paul the owner. Salt of the earth and one of the nicest guys around. You must have caught him on an off day.

The younger guy sounds like Gary. Another helpful guy.

Ok, thanks.

The young guy had really short shaved hair if that's any clue??

I bought many models from ARD (civilian and military), don't have any problems, quickly shipping. I emailed to them for ask the Emirates model, but they still not reply, maybe will call them 2morrow.
Alvaro: If they don't charge ur credit, try to buy it from another retailer, I think they will not charge u, even if they do, u can refund this model.

I know both Gary and Paul and both are very nice. Paul was on the phone the last time I was there and he told someone that unless and until they receive the respective model in stock they never charge the customers card so the chances are they did not receive the models you h
