I have won some items from Viginfans (Ebay) in December 16th. 2007
The package was paid at 16th December 2007 via Paypal. VirginFans Hong Kong local post office info: The package was sent from Hong Kong on the 20th. December 2007. It then left HKG to Denmark on the 21st December. It arrives in CPH at 27th December. From the 27th till 02nd of January (it entered for customs inspection) ----------------- Until this point, the tracking info from HKG matches the info from my local post office. That the package is still at the Custom Inspection building. I’m not doubting that the package is here in Copenhagen already, but what puzzles me suddenly is that, I found this on the tracking info, that Virginfans has sent to me. Continuance from the HKG post office. 27-Dec-2007 Denmark Pending customs inspection. 2-Jan-2008 Denmark Pending customs inspection. **24-Jan-2008 Denmark In transit. **25-Jan-2008 Denmark Unsuccessful delivery because the addressee was not at the address indicated or addressee's office was closed. -------------------------- I have been home since January 24th, till today (Im sick) anyway I have called the local post office, and forwarded this HKG info to them, that according to the seller, it has left and was tried to be delivered at my house, they then re-assure me on the phone that it HAS never left the Custom Building at Copenhagen. My point with this thread is: Is this a sign of a seller being dishonest, Is this a pre-warning of something is up...? Lying to his fellow collectors. Why does the seller put some “wrong” info there on the tracking info when it’s obvious that it has not been tried to be delivered to me., What is he up to ? I’m trying to pull the possibilities out about that this seller is trying to forget his part of the “purchase-deal” because he has done his part. Also I have the reason to be concerned as this is my first time I’m dealing with this E-bay Seller. But I am relieved now that I almost got my package, it’s here on this side of the world. Now I got nothing to lose than the time of waiting for it to arrive here. This is not a complaint, just hate the feeling that the seller might be lying now, that's all. ![]() |

I have never had any problems buying from Virgin Fans. There have been issues discussed about how he obtains his models, but nothing about delivering them. This seems to be an issue between Danish Customs and the Post Office, not with the seller.

The point was why does he state that it was been tried to be delivered, when the local office says that it even haven't gone trough the inspection yet..??? I don't need a seller to lie me up on the face, I would have been better off without that extra from his HKG tracking information. |

Could possibly be a bit of confusion or miscommunication as I don't believe Patrick speaks English all that well. It could also be a mix-up, as I would imagine with the amount of models he ships out world-wide that it would be difficult to keep track of them all and their affiliated shipping documents.
Nevertheless, I too have purchased numerous models from him and have never had anything to complain about. Have some patience and don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. |

Maybe he's not lying and HKG Posts provided him with that wrong info. Anyway I do not buy from him any longer as he charges too much shipping.

Alright, thanks for your replies, guys. I just needed to get it out of my system. It could all well be mis-communication like Ikonos said.

I have bought many models from Virginfans and will continue to do so. Very efficient and quick service from him.
Even with his shipping charges he is still cheaper to buy from than shops here in the UK!!! |

I've never had any real problem with him. There was one issue where the model didn't show up in a timely manner and he tried to help me as best as he could. The package eventually showed up a month later (total two months) and was in perfect condition and showed he had shipped it when he said he had. So it was just held up in transit, not his fault and nothing he could do about that.

C-Rex, I don'treally understand your post.
The title is misleading (at least) and your are making accusations that seem exagerated to me. Obviously your package has been sent by VirginFan, he has done his part of the job and the rest is beyonf his control.. It also seems that the Danish custom office is not a speedy service! What are they doing, playing with your models? |

I purchased only once from him and had no problem. John, I agree with Adrian, the problem isn´t him but the customs. Await a little more and you will see the package will arrive at your place or return to the seller address.

According to the tracking number, it has been sent back to VirginFans.
I have sent him numerous emails now regarding any refund or eventually resending the package. I haven't heard anything from him since I sent the first emails from 20.Feb 2008. My patience with this guy has totally overflooded the banks... Too bad for me, as I had a good patience, waiting for the package to get trough the customs here. Now it's sent back to him, But I don't get any replies. I need your help. Does anyone have a direct contact to guy ? In a worst case, I dont get refunded, money lost, there's nothing else to do except give him 5 negative feedbacks. ![]() |

I have been very lucky so far with this ebay seller. Have bought many models from him over last 18 months and all good so far, sad to hear of your dillemma and hope you get refunded soon, or better still, the models soon and good luck. Maybe worst case scenario would be to contact ebay to see what options you have if he refuses to refund etc, good luck!!

VirginFan may be on vacation until Feb.29 (according to his ebay store site). I have purchased from VirginFan a few times (at least 7) and so far zero problems. My recent purchase was on Feb. 10, 2008, and it came in within 8 days. One thing about VF is that it takes him sooooooooo long to reply to emails, sometimes, never.

Why would you leave negative feedback? If the package was sent back to him then that means he did send it in the first place right? Assuming the models sent were correct and were in good condition, the only mistake on his part that I see is that he put the wrong address on the package. Can this be confirmed?

![]() I have contacted this person numerous times per email. No replies. And that's the reason why I'm asking anyone who has a direct contact to this guy. But I think I can fairly say that this is probably the last time I'm using Ebay. Guess European online stores is my priorities now. |

I think Virginfans is a great seller and have never had a problem.
I always check his site first when the voice in my head decides it wants to get a hard to find model. |

Yet most here have said they've had no problems with him.
Quote:
It's possible he made a mistake with the address although he likely cut and paste it from Paypal or wherever. It could be the address got scratched off or became unreadable in some way so it was sent back. So many things can happen between HK and Europe that are completely out of his control. That's why I think he shouldn't get negative feedback based on what is currently known. |

Its been almost 3 months since I bought a model from him and it still hasn't turned up. Says he shipped it as soon as he received the payment but was unable to provide any more info as thats all he knew, that he's shipped it.

Nor have I.
This sounds like a problem with customs and the mail, period. I am changing the title. Original Thread title: Re: Dishonest Virginfans ? (Ebay) New: Shipping issues w/Virginfans ? (Ebay) As I do not believe the issue is his honesty, but rather customs. - n1786b |

![]() But about the dishonest part, I based that due to the faulty info that he said to me at the beginning of this thread. See post # 1 with marked with red colour. I'v learned much by the comments that I recieved in this thread. Thanks to all that contributed with their feedbacks about VF. Sorry to hear Moin's case though. Three months huh.. That's a long time to wait. ![]() /John |
